Lou... You have no idea man, I scared my Girlfriend yelling at the TV for a penalty. Truthfully, that was one of the worst non-calls I've ever seen.
- A_Tree

When you are selective in what you view, you make a player the scapegoat, can't change people's minds, you either see it or you don't.

We love our defencemen scapegoats. Hi Murphy, Berg, McCabe, Komisarek, Beauchemin. Hope you're well.

IDK man.. Ranger and Kostka are equally bad.. Holzer is trash tho. I wish i could see what some people see in him. I see stupid untimely penalties, no speed, not physical, out of position constantly, and an ugly face.. God i hate his ugly face.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

He left hockey for 3 years because he was sick of being called ugly.... I hope he doesn't read this.

Still early but after he plays twenty games, I will have a better idea if he is doing enough to help the team win.
- LeafMan

Not specifically judging Clarkson. It's way too early in his case.

I'm just speaking in general... when you have to resolve to the intangibles line, it means the player in question doesn't bring much of anything on the ice.

When people want to praise a player that doesn't live up to his contract or underachieves, they pull out the "intangibles" card.
- Pecafan Fan

Really, cause Toews would be chosen in the top 5 by any GM in the league if asked to name the players they would choose to start a franchise around. He's not the best offensive player, that's not saying he isn't a great offensive player, but he gets chosen solely for his, say it... INTANGIBLES

I'm just worried about these injuries. We haven't iced a full team yet and if we can't stay healthy I feel like it will really hurt out chances to compete against those top teams.

Don't know if you are being facetious or not but I'm generally concerned as a Leaf fan with Gunnarsson.

Working your ass off on every shift and being one of the best 2-way forwards in the league are hardly what I'd call intangibles.

To be fair Komisarek, McCabe and Berg really weren't living up to expectations. The other guys I agree with though. Although I would make that Lupul Gardiner trade any day of the week

Do I think Ranger could be better, of course but I don't think he is as bad as most of you are saying he is, he has become the scapegoat when most of the time he was not at fault.
- LeafMan

for a million dollar d-man he is doing absolutely just fine.

this isnt like komi and his 4.5 million per contract

That's the truth.

Clarkson was playing very well against Boston. That line of Kadri, Mason and Clarkson was working very heard all night.

some people only see talent in the offensive capabilities of defensemen.

Gunner and Gardiner were traded for Schenn and Hartnell.

Very concerened. I don't know what it is, is the competition (playing vs other teams best players) finally catching up to him?
