What's the most you can tolerate, as far as years and AAV go? - BulliesPhan87
Good question. If I knew he would continue this level of play, make a photo-copy of the Bryzgalov contract.
If he puts up a 920+ save % all year, he's going to be due a hefty raise. |

Wouldn't expect it to be here, probably would want him outside of the division - ob18
Ya I don't think it will be. Smart money would be on Edmonton |

Wouldnt expect Edmonton either. Then need defensive defenseman, not offensive ones. |

Your money is not that smart then... They dont need offensive D-men...
My smart money is on Vancouver. |

God I really like Mason so far, but is anyone concerned that this might be the result of new conference not knowing a goalie... like Bob's first year here, then first year in Columbus...?
I dont know... All joking aside I ask myself if Edmonton give us an overpayment.... Would I take the deal. - youarewrong
Edmonton doesn't need a goalie. They just signed a stud! |

meh, he's a writer for THM. He could be wrong. He also said "Oilers about to trade Hemsky to the Flyers for Simmonds. Stay tuned.." a few days ago, which was very wrong. We'll have to wait to see

Yup. Mason has been tremendous. I'm still worried they sign him to a long term deal and he turns into a pumpkin. - PLindbergh31
As Flyers fans we will always think like that sadly. If he's solid with us the entire year, really it's the smart thing to do. |

I love how when we were discussing him being dealt I thought immediately Flyers would be a good trade partner. If I were GM I wouldn't let the division thing bother me especially since a quarter of the league is now in your own division. |

From Ek:
I've been hearing over the last week that that there are "multiple teams who would love to trade" for Dallas Stars defenseman Trevor Daley. The combination of the fact that he is still reasonably young (age 30), has excellent mobility and some two-way skill, plus the fact that he is signed for three more seasons after this one at a $3.3 million cap hit (which has become a very reasonable, nearly bargain rate for an established NHL regular on defense) has put Dallas in the driver's seat to demand "a greater return that you might expect for a non-All Star type of defenseman."
If that's true, and I'm the Flyers, I wait for any one of these teams to make an overpayment for Daley... That will set the market price higher for Coburn. |

Selfishly I don't want anyone on London suspended. - jmatchett383
It was a dirty hit, he deserved it & they are deep enough they will be fine. Gotta stop playing like team that feels they will coast past some teams to win games. |

when there are 29 other teams, thats not great odds....
Now if you narrow it down to Vancouver or Edmonton... eveyone else is a wash I would take those 5-1 odds. |

Andrew Ladd without question is the most underrated player in the game NHL today, from the 2003 draft with all the big names and a player the Black Hawks should regret letting walk. He's a good two way player and much younger than Patrick Sharp. I would love to have this guy on my teak. He quietly plays a solid game year after year. If he remains with the Jets for the rest of his career as Captain, he should be looked to as one of greater Captains to Captain a Canadian team.I might be over doing it a bit but he's pretty awesome. - Schenn2shine
i believe andrew ladd and chad larose are the same person. i call him chad ladd. |

Sam Carchidi @BroadStBull 2m
Ron Hextall says he has not been contacted by #Sabres about their GM job, and adds he is extremely happy in position as #Flyers' asst. GM.
Whew, that's quite a relief to me. |
