Both of his teams are struggling on Defense and when you can't get the puck out of the zone you don't win games. He has a shot at a tournament/showcase team for the summer if he can round his game into form back there.

His Colonials team is as bad this year as it was good last year. Losing by a touchdown or less is like a win. I don't even offer to let people come unless they want to see him hit people and clear the puck. They're 0-13-1.

We'll see about the HS team this weekend. They're 0-1 so far.

Watching the Sens/Bruins game. Sens look really bad. Bruins team passing is really good.

Keys to tonights game:

1. Score the first goal. Fatigue is always a factor with a 3rd game in 4 nights, and it takes more energy to come from behind than it does to play with a lead.

2. Be relentless on the forecheck. The Jets are not particularly strong in their own zone and can be pressured into giving up the puck.

3. Avoid bad penalties. Nothing can wear a team out faster than having to kill a lot of penalties.


I've got a good feeling going into this one gang. Flyers 5 - Jets 2, last one into the empty net. Giroux with a goal and 2 assists is your 1st star.
