Big Buf has one of the more irritating goal celebrations.

I didn't mind the archery reference actually, but I'm also beginning to sober...
Edit: he's obviously not going for a Hunger Games reference... Is he a Sagittarius? |

Hartnell quickly climbs to five points since getting his first point, a goal against the Carolina Hurricanes. You know I cannot stand hearing bad things about Scott Hartnell. He's pretty much been the same player since he first got here. Does anyone remember him being Mr. Empty net his first season? He couldn't buy a goal in his first season as a Flyer so John Stevens put him on the ice in the final moments of tight games and he had to score empty nets to get goals. I think it was something like three empty nets before scoring on an actual goalie. He's grown into a leadership role now, which is the only difference. He's still a clown. He'll never be the flashy, fancy player Giroux and Voracek are. He's a good player for his role. The guy who creates space for the skilled guys and does the dirty work down low. You want Simmonds to grow into the exact same player...Obviously a lot smarter than Hartnell but the same player.
Don't even get me started on Coburn because he's another guy who gets very little credit on how good a player he really is. |

guys like Hartnell and Coburn always take the heat when the team isn't playing well. The team is playing much better, and so are they. |

I agree somewhat on Hartnell, would like to see more consistency though from him. Totally agree with you re Coburn |

The team's everything filters through Giroux. When he plays like garbage, so does the team. |

So, this is the first hockey that I've seen tonight.
I hear nothing.
Music to my ears. |

nice having goalies that you're not worried on every shot.

Yeah I can't say they're getting outworked, because they're forecheck has been solid.
They just can't keep it in the O zone. Getting hemmed in down in their own end....gotta turn it around |

They're being smart about it too, cutting the angles so well, the anticipation
Making the other team in their own zone turn the puck over! |

See the old Giroux would have dangled and turned that chance into a goal. |
