I think Rocky, Rocky 2, and Balboa were all great films. If you ever catch the True story of the Rocky franchise it follows Stalone's personal life perfectly...
Rocky 1 under-dog fighter... Stalone underdog actor.
Rocky 2 Rocky is being bashed as a one-time wonder, ridiculed for his intelligence. Stalone was considered a one-hit wonder, no-one wanted Rocky 2.
Rocky 3 Rocky becomes lost in stardom, and with the sucess of Rocky 1 and 2 and Rambo Stalone becomes a mega star.
Rocky 4 Rocky is fighting for more then himself, and Stalone is maturing as an actor with other decent films like Cliffhanger.
Rocky 5 Rocky is beat down, and Stalone is also beat down after a string of bad movies
Balboa, Rocky's carrer is over is missing the love of his life, Stalone hasn't made a good movie for years and career seems to be over, but both make a resurgance. - youarewrong
This is an interesting read on the series. I'll report back once I've seen a couple more Rockys. |

Yup. I'm a big Stallone fan. I have probably seen every movie he's been in.
Lock Up is another classic. I highly recommend it. It was filmed it Rahway prison. - PLindbergh31
We all know his early career as the Italian Stallion is why you truly love him... |

Did anyone of here ever watch She-Ra: Princess of Power? I was reminded of it after watching a hilarious review of the Masters of the Universe (He-Man) movie. I never watched it, but read a quick synopsis, and looked at the plot line of the last episode ever made:
"When Hordak kidnaps Swift Wind's expectant mate, She-Ra has to rescue her as quickly as possible. If the baby is born anywhere but on Unicorn Island, it will be just a normal horse and not a unicorn like its parents!"
Yes, exclamation point indeed. I'm amazed the show only lasted 2 seasons with intense, heart-wrenching story lines like that. - jmatchett383
You were obviously never a 10 year old girl... I had ALL the She-Ra figures... |

I have to say, I really like the way the team is playing. Suprised there are rumors flying around before the Winipeg game tonight regarding Buff. Dispite beating some teams and looking better, I would still like to make a move. You all know I'm Crazy about Yakupov, so I will leave that one out.
But Buff would be a Major need.
From Florida:
Kulikov would be a great get.
Campbell would be nice too if they will eat some Cap hit.
Same with Fleischmann and Upshall. Again if they take some cap back.
From Buffalo:
Do you think you can get Buffalo to give up Lieno for like a 2nd and have them retain part of his cap hit. I guess they could buy him out, but why pay him?
Would take Myers or Ehrhoff too.
To Philly... Campbell, Upshall. Florida retains 1M from Campbell and 1.75 on Upshall.
Florida gets Simmonds.
or
To Philly.. Myers, Lieno and Buffalo retains 1.5 million on Lieno contract
To Buffalo... Simmonds.
Then you can move Meszaros or Coburn for more cap space and Blueline space.

It still would have the horrible first 90+ minutes though. - jmatchett383
It is amazing though how a pivotal scene can the complexion of an entire movie though....
Imagine Empire stikes back without the "No, I am your Father" scene.... Completely changes the whole movie, even the 90 minutes before it.
It is completely possible the death of Rocky could have had a larger impact on his relationship with his son, the passing of knowledge... It also make Tommy Gun more of an evil villian, then some cocky crappy fighter.
In the end though, I'm glad rocky survived that way we can get Balboa, definately a great way to end the series....
Oh BTW. Just in case anyone is interested they are making a Rocky spin off called Creed. It follows the grandson of Apolo as he becomes a fighter, against his familys wishes... word is Stalone might play the "mick" role. |

Without going over the trades, you can't move Meszaros (he has negative trade value) and Coburn's been their best defenseman this season. If you bring if Myers, you could maybe stomach it. |

Yeah, I heard about the Creed thing. And Empire Strikes back is my favorite movie, and it has nothing to do with the reveal, although that is cool. |

Yeah me either. Without Danny B to get him going I doubt we get the production from him and that's only IF he can stay healthy which he hasn't been. I think Buffalo would eat some of his contract in a heartbeat to lose him.
Never a good sign. |
