Well atleast give it to someone your paying a ton of money to. The kids are getting it done. Until they show they can get it done you have to give it to the guys getting paid bigger bucks.

I'm assuming that you meant that the kids aren't getting it done?

So they are either trying to light a fire under his butt, improve the little trade value he has by putting him on a line with talent, or what you initially mentioned.... hmmmm, which one is it??

Said the same thing - Patty and Nolan have it right - Why should they expose their youngers to terrible examples of hockey player. Stafford is a joke - I would put 28 on that line if were me. Folingo has been a real disappointment. Leino is just a waste.

Lots of problems - lots of problems

Last time Hodgson and Moulson had a good game... Ott was on their line. They have gone cold every since Nolan replaced Ott with Stafford on that first line. Why not go with Stafford, Leino and Ennis on the 2nd line and let Ott create some space for Moulson and Hodgson. After that last game together, Moulson was quoted as saying that Ott's style leads to the opponents turning the puck over which creates the opportunities Hodgson and Moulson can capitalize on.

Stafford, to his credit (and I'm a critic of his more than a fan at this point)... has been playing much better. His effort has been there. He did have some defensive lapses last game, but he's been hustling otherwise. I've picked on him for years, so I'll give him his due when he deserves it. He's shooting more, too... just hasn't scored much. Don't get me started on Leino, though... he has to go, even if Pegula pays a huge chunk of his remaining salary or a buy out.

It's starting to look like that Islander pick is going to be protected for this year's draft... they've been slipping a little bit each week

I believe that pick is 4th overall at the moment. Unfortunate that we don't get it, however next years draft is supposed to be better than this years. Maybe the isles finish in the bottom 5 next year as well.

Agree with Ott Moulson and Stafford line.I think management is just trying to evaluate Stafford myself.

Yea think positive.Lets see how bad we can be for another season so we can get maybe one future superstar to cure all this teams problems.
