I know its early but Poulin wan't the ex-islander in net for the Jets it was Al Montoya.

If it makes you Flyer fans any happier we are an hour ahead here in Winnipeg meaning a 10:30 start.

Buff gets angry when he gets up this early. He's gonna be a beast today. Trust me - he is going to single handedly take your guys down

- Muskwa

I want him on our team.

The Flyers will look like a bunch of cheeseburgers on skates to him.

This early start is dumb. Can't say I ever needed to set my alarm to wake up for a Flyers game.... What is this youth hockey?

It is what it is. Go Flyers!

Matt Read has been our best player on our best line in recent games. This injury couldn't have come at a worse time but I still feel we win today. With the travel and the time zone difference, it should hurt the Jets more then it hurts us. What is Read's injury and how did it happen?

They already played a couple games out this way... The time zone difference shouldn't be an issue.

The fact that you have to set your alarm to be up by 11:30Am makes me extremely jealous.

i think i read that he blocked a shot and his foot or ankle was swollen, couldn't get it in the skate
hopefully nothing broken

here it is

Read said he blocked a shot in the loss to the Panthers and his skate boot doesn’t fit. He hopes to play in Black Friday’s morning matinee against Winnipeg.

“I just blocked a shot in the wrong spot,” he said. “My skate doesn’t fit properly right now. I’ll take a couple days off and hopefully, let that swelling go down. We’ll see.”

the lack of hustle & drive is getting to me, I was so pumped when we hit 500, & to drop 2 in Florida "sleep skating"?
- puckhead17

Same here. Such a letdown to get psyched for the games and then watch them perform like the last 2. Given the previous streak of improvement though, I'm really hoping its a case of two steps forward and one step back. Winning today and tomorrow would be nice...

If Twitter's accurate, looks like Read, Raffl and Meszaros are in, with Rosehill and Gus out

I think his wrist injury golfing really hampered him from the get go. I don't think he's 100% yet, although a wrist injury shouldn't be affecting his skating so its not all the injury.
- Flyersgod

I have been saying that all along, but he shows moments of himself and then Alex Daigle/ Fat Balloons it.

If his wrist was that bad he should have sat out long enough to heal. Bad decision by himself, management and the doctor who permitted it.

Really how much of his play has been first line center valid through the season to date. Has he been as good as Mike Richards was on an off night ?

Don't be.

This is an anomaly because of break. A normal night's sleep for me is 2-5 hours

Probably going to see the normal Jets/Flyers game....

Pavelec will probably steal 4 goals tonight, buff will score once and assist twice, and the score will be 3-1

EDIT: There's the 1 for the Flyers

Fartsmell with the gift!

What a nice setup from Downie to take advantage of the bounce... assuming he did that on purpose.
