according to Brooks, no idea if Talbot or Hank tomorrow, and Lundqvist's contract talks going nowhere

I was really hoping to see this resolved by January...fat chance.

this emergence of Cam Talbot is completely unexpected, it's awesome, but it's like

For 7 games, he has not only played well, but he has played like an elite NHL goaltender. I would expect the other shoe to drop soon and him to have some subpar games, but what if it doesn't?

Talbots been great but he hasnt stolen any games or really faced a ton of high quality chances throughout an entire game. It seems like the team plays a lot tighter defensively in front of him to me.

What a tool Bieska is....

if boyle is going to clearly decide to go with someone he's got to drop his gloves and go, regardless of the result. he kept them on against chara for too long, and clearly did yesterday and got absolutely pummeled twice (on his throwing hand no less).

i know hes not a fighter but come on...

What if Talbot does start tomorrow and has another solid game of 2 goals or less in a win. Do you go back to him again Thursday?

He has made the saves on the shots that have been fired on him. You can't take anything away from him.

It was embarrassing, both scraps like I said yesterday. WTF is Boyle doing with one glove on? Its shameful, he's gotten in fights before.

And the game yesterday was over, the horn sounded, why placate that idiot anyway? All you could do is get hurt there which he's lucky he didn't. Why Bieska had such a hard on for Boyle & had to kick his glove & throw a tantrum I still don't know.

Don't know if its true but I read that Bieska was trying to get at Kreider for the roughing penalty he took against Bieska a few minutes before the end of the game. Not sure if Boyle was stepping in or what.

That penalty looked like a BS call to me
-more likely Bieksa just pissed at a rookie
Showing up his team. He's a bit of a Richard but I
Wish the rags had him. Good mix of skill and snarl.

He's the reason why they won in Detroit, also was fantastic in the 1st period yesterday. Do I think he's capable of playing this 1.44 gaa out through the entire year, no. But if can win games, that's all we should care about.

Maybe, Bieska is a bully, but like Bobby said, I would like him as a 3rd pair guy, right handed shot, plays tough, I don't know why he looked like was so upset with Boyle though, even after kicking his ass, what was he so angry about?

It all comes back to if Boyle's gonna drop the gloves, drop em & go, too often like in both the fights he was in recently he's kind of half in, talking like he's trying to communicate a point....Brian, you're in a fight, time for talking is done, at the very least protect yourself if your not gonna throw punches. It bothers me to no end seeing how passive he is in scraps.

Then AV has himself a goaltending controversy again, does he just bring out the best in back ups?

He is the first goaltender to hold his opponent to two or fewer goals in each of his first seven NHL starts since Frank Brimsek (BOS) did so in his first 12 starts in 1938-39, and is the first to do so in franchise history

The Rangers have posted a 1.86 goals against average since returning from their season-opening five-game west coast road trip, compared to a 5.00 goals against average prior to their Oct. 16 game at Washington

Boyle should be ashamed of himself. He's had ample opportunity to toughen up a little. No one is asking him to become Mohammed Ali on skates, but c'mom, it's embarrassing when a guy 6'7" and 245 fights like baby Huey.

Other topic, I'm hearing that Michael Del Zotto won't be traded soon. Could take more time than first expected. #rangers

I guess everyone was offering crap cause his value is low. Better to hold on to him and hopefully he gets his game going and plays like he's supposed to & stays or if not & they still wanna deal him later, at least decent enough to get his value up some more for a good return.

I at least would have attempted to throw a punch, a 6'7" 250 lb guy I think could do the same. I'm surprised candy didn't start popping out of Boyle when Bieksa was pounding him. Awful. By now, if someone didn't already tell him since he hasn't figured it out on his own it's time for boxing lessons in the offseason.

keep him on the left side. I'll buy a sign that says, PLAY DEL ZOTTO ON THE LEFT SIDE, rent an airplane and fly the thing myself back and forth over MSG if I have to.

I missed the game on Saturday because I was at the UM/OSU game. Did he play on the leftside, or the right?
