Great read Paul. I attended the Officiating Program of Excellence and was lucky enough to spend a couple days with Dave running the fitness sessions. Your blog is correct, the days of lazy, out of shape officials are long gone!

Being from Buffalo, Smitty is no stranger around the rink. I saw him skating the Canisius hockey team the other day and boy am I glad I wasn't on the ice.
