This is a fact we were pissed at him. But same thing happened with you guys and Stepan. Many of you guys wanted him trade just a week ago.

ehhh i don't think anyone necessarily WANTED him to be traded. tons of people actually argued against it because he really is our only legitimate top 6 center especially with brassard's extremely high qualifying offer requirement and richards' potential buyout. i was open to the idea of trading him for a player like evander kane and it was discussed what he could bring because he's our most attractive player besides mcdonagh, but nobody was running him out of town.

Rick Nash's play has been so bad this year, he's playing his way off of team Canada. Hall, Sharp, Perry and Neal have passed him on the wing depth chart, not saying he was ahead of any of them, but still. Let me also say that Canada will be forced to play a few center on the wing.

I hope Nash isn't chosen. I think he could use the rest, I don't think he's been 100% since the concussion.

3 of the guys you listed are left wings. Nash is only behind perry as far as right wings go.

Ok fine. He's behind Perry and St.Louis. Not to mention Thornton, Giroux, Duchene, E. Staal, Tavares, and maybe a helahty Stamkos will get a look on the wing. As of right now, he's not making it.

I would love the 3 weeks of rest for him. Get his mind and body right.

I think nash's comparative advantage is that he's a natural winger, huge, a great skater, has international experience, and was crosbys winger in Vancouver when they won gold. Id personally be surprised if he doesn't make it because when perry does make it, he's going to stay glued to getzlaf's side and I think they'd prefer a natural winger on the top line over a center.

I could see the lines being close to:
Hall - crosby - nash
Toews - getzlaf - perry
Benn - tavares - stamkos/giroux
Sharp - bergeron - giroux/duchene
Duchene/staal - thornton

Nash played with Thorton in Vancouver. Iginla played with Crosby.

Edit: And there is no way on god's green earth that Nash should be playing 1st line minutes in Sochi. Where is St. Louis?

Iginla on the ice, assisted Crosby on the Golden goal. That's why Iginla wanted to be traded to Pittsburgh last year. Positive is was Iggy.

That was the final Prelim game. As tournament went Iggy and Crosby were paired together. Remember the goal vividly. Worst goal I've ever seen.

I thought it was the other way around where iginla started out with crosby and nash finished. I remember iginla on the ice when crosby scored, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were on the same line.

He had a great game. Crawford absolutely robbed him three times. Maybe him not being picked will help us in the long run? He's trying to prove Poille is a fool it seems.

He had 25 goals the year before that. And he was also not on JTS line that year

somebody on the team now could get hurt before they go, I wouldn't lose all hope.

I think Bobby Ryan burned his bridge today
