I didn't say it was a bad approach, just that it has some flaws. I like having a deep team, and having four lines that can score if need be. However, the US needs a player or two who can take over a game by himself if need be. They didn't have that this year. They really didn't have one last year, but they didn't need it. They virtually ran away with every game they won last year.

I didn't get the result from today till now. Evidently it had flaws today. That's disappointing.

I was surprised about Bobby Ryan, too, but I get it. On a different note, has anyone else been watching how much space the opposition has been granting Patrick Kane when he has the puck this year? He is far and away better than he was even last season. I am very anxious to see him and Parise and whichever center light things up on the big ice, where he will be able to wheel even more scarierly.
