Shouldn't be any surprises. Politics means more than any stat there is. |

Amazed that Bishop is not there, but as a Cdn Fan, that's great! Trying to play it safe with name goalies, but big question marks on how effective Quick will be after his injury (who wasn't nearly as good as last year before he was hurt), and Howard really hasn't earned a spot based on this year's performance. Team Canada played it safe with their picks in '06 and that was a disaster. |

Team USA has Quick as the clear cut starter. Miller only recently moved up to the #2 spot ahead of Howard, who almost moved out of the top 3. |

Honestly, do you think Ryan could make a big difference for the team? - Compeyson
He's their best goal scorer outside of Kane and Kessel...so...yes? |

How? - Danformo
KO isnt better than one of those guys. Ryan is better offensively than all of them. But Ryan doesnt play the style that USA is going to ice. KO would suit it better than Ryan. |

Bobby Ryan would definitely be on my roster, but it's not the big disaster people are making this out to be. It surprises me, but he was never going to be top 6. As far as Pominville is concerned, he doesn't do one thing better than anybody else on this roster. |

No Disrepect to Ryan, but KO is having just as great of a season as Ryan, and KO is not a product of JT.
Currently equal or close to value players |

He scores more goals. The rest of them do all the rest of the things required to win. - poisondhearts37
yeah, no residual hate from his days in anaheim in that comment..... |

Your talking about KO having one stellar season so far. Only half a season at that. Thats no different than EJ not making based on the hype of one good season. EJ is having a good go right now. |

KO scores, wins board battles, crashes the net, hits, fights, has heart
I don't understand how he isn't better than a single one of those players? For Pete's sake he's second among US born players on a team with 2 NHL defenders |

Im actually a fan of Ryan and always was. I hate Getz and Perry for other reasons. I just see what USA is trying to do. Its hard to not see Ryan on the team. Hes the only snub that makes my a little unsettled. For all I care. They could of Kept Brown off with his terrible year hes having and put in Ryan. But I can see what theyre doing. |

Orpik/Carlson over Erik Johnson/Andy Greene is a mistake IMO. Buff on bigger ice could be an issue I guess. I don't consider Jack Johnson or Okposo snubs.
Definitely can compete for gold though. |

Brown needs to be on that team. As bad a year as he's having, he knows how to win big games. This US team doesn't have many of those. |

Lets not forget that people laughed at the USA roster when it was announced last time. They decided to take players they though fit together rather than just pick the biggest names and best players. It worked out pretty well. |
