Huh. Guess Burke isnt a fan.

"Not intense. That word is not in his vocabulary. It's never going to be in his vocabulary. He can't spell intense." - Burke on Bobby Ryan

- poisondhearts37

He also said, in the same interview, Anaheim should have drafted j. Johnson instead of bobby Ryan.......proving once and for all, that Brian Burke is (frank)ing retarded

fair. I think it was gonna be one of Yandle or Fowler, and Fowler's seriously turned it on this year.

byfuglien's a dominant player I think despite his speed he'd be more effective than an Orpik

- TheNugeIsHuge

I disagree with Buff over Orpik. I take Orpik all day when looking at the other dman. For Buff to make it some of the others guys need to be looked at. Like Shatty and Carlson.

Im not really understanding the Faulk decision. Ok, he's a right handed d-man, what else?

Wow. It's weird because there were so many rumors of Bobby Ryan to Toronto while Burke was here. Evidently that didn't have a chance in hell of happening.
- Jeffmt

Thats just Canadian media hype. Gets people to read more about the team.

Hes a solid 2way player. I take him over Shatty.

Pacioretti over Bobby Ryan? No. Blake Wheeler over Bobby Ryan? Absolutely not.

Hey Burkey, Yandle is a disaster? Have you looked in the mirror lately your face looks like this? Your 2nd wife called she wants more money. What a joke.

Personally, as a Canadian, I'm glad that Ryan and Yandle were left off the team. I think this team, short of miller playing the same as he did in 2010, won't be on the podium

Canada, Sweden, and Russia (not necessarily in that order)

the fact that Schneider was left off the roster goes to show how badly CDN is beat in the goaltending department

should have went ben bishop in goal. hes been a stud in tampa
- zatara39

The US better hope Miller can play the whole way, not get injured. It can be argued Howard isn't the best goalie in Detroit right now and to a lesser degree the same can be said about Quick.

Keep one or the other just for experience sake and go with Bishop.

Team USA has Quick as the clear cut starter. Miller only recently moved up to the #2 spot ahead of Howard, who almost moved out of the top 3.
- bluecoconuts

Miller will start over quick. He has faced far more shots and in my honest opinion is a better goaltender than quick.

I do agree that Miller will start. Based on having good numbers and exp. I think Quick will challenge once its time to do so. Hearing how many shots Miller takes gets old though. Miller didnt win Buffalo a championship when they had a competitive team. Just saying.

Okposo, Ryan, Yandle, and Bishop I would have taken. Martin, Stepan, Wheeler, Howard are who I would drop. There is absolutely no reason for Ryan and Yandle to be kept off this team, other than Bylsma forcing them to take Martin and appearantly management has a personal issue with Ryan.

It probably didn't help we had one functional NHL defenseman.
