As I said a few times I think the future looks bright , it is the present that is his easy going personalitydim.IMO I don't think this team has the makeup personnel or attitude that Torts is looking for. I would think he hate the Sedin Edler Hansen Booth Bieksa attitude of when they loose that everyone is calm relaxed. I think he wants more firecrackers on his team. Players playing on the edge.
I won't get into it again but I said before I don't think the Sedins can lead this team to WIN the cup? I think they had their chance and came close.
I look forward to the changes to come. - VANTEL
Of what I've seen out of torts I would think Bieksa and maybe Garrison are the personality he wants. Hamhuis is much like the sedins in his laid back personality.
There is little doubt over the past couple seasons with his drafting and trading of what kind of team Gilles has shifted his focus too |

Well, The Sedins are here for another 4 years. That being said, I'd agree that it's a team in transition. I was really hoping for a better year out of Hansen. Didn't expect much out of Booth - thankfully that will be coming to an end shortly. The injuries haven't helped, but teams like Ottawa had to deal with much worse last year. This team will be much better in 2 to 3 years. - Canuckleafer
I agree in 2 to 3 years we probably won't be saying this team is too soft

Yeah Hamhuis has that mild attitude and we can throw Tanev in the mix too.
I want more of the We need to play like Bastards attitude |

I'm pretty sure that Torts would want a balance of personalities. The fact that he's pushing for Hamhuis to be included on Team Canada and not Bieksa or Garrison means he respects the game that Hamhuis brings. He seems to be similar in attitude to Girardi, whom Torts loved in NYC.

If/when Hamhuis is named to team Canada, I'm headed to Angelo's thread with a burr in my saddle |

Apparently IOC has a asked Canada not to include Dion on the team. They feel cacada would be far to good with him. Thus discouraging other countries. |

Phaneuf is in a league of his own. He's far too good to be playing for Team Canada. |

and when he is not? If by some miracle Hamhuis is picked over a more deserving guy like Vlasic, he wont see a minute of action |

From what I've seen my guess is he's required to wear a helmet regardless if he is playing hockey or eating his lunch |

Definitely rides the same bus with Prock and Iggysbff. Can you see them wearing their super hero bibs, drooling and awkwardly clapping their hands to the happy songs in their heads. |

More deserving? How often do you watch both play? They're extremely similar. |

Where were you yesterday? If you has dressed your line up in the pool yesterday, it would have been a lot closer, like within a female genitalia hair close.

If the select 4 left and 4 right handed d-men, he's got a chance to make the 4th spot.
