The hawks much like the oilers where like 10-12 yrs between playoff appearances. Pens without the Crosby lottery probably lost their franchise - Bieksa#3
Hawks 2 cups ,LA one cup still in the hunt for another. Pitt two cups . |

That whinnying has gone on for three years also. Don't you Remeber after our early exit again last year how twitter boards and hockey boards blew up asking for the heads of Gillis AV The coaching staff and trade the team.
The hyperbolic whining is just as bad as the posters that say everything is just fine in Canuckland when three years of the same show is being played - VANTEL
I still want Gillis gone. Really don't think he's the GM this team needs at this juncture. |

I don't see anyone claiming everything is fine. |

Bernier is 25. How is he playing like a backup? He has arguably the worst team defense in front of him in the NHL and gets bombarded with shots. Seems like Lu back in Florida when he was 25. - Bluechip23
Seems that the insiders disagree with you on whether or not he's playing like a starter but continue on....it is amusing, if nothing else |

I'm all for moving a D, if the trade makes sense.
I'm reluctant to move Burrows. And I don't think he returns much.
Hansen would be the better option. - Fosco
I think Burrows to MTL could get a decent return. We also have to make room for the Horvats Gaunces and Shinks. every year we have a half a roster spot open for no one |

I think it's a 50/50 chance Bernier becomes a long term #1 NHL goalie. You want to see a young goalie with a similar D in front of him flourishing this season: Ben Bishop. |

If u wanna act like what happened to their franchises before the good drafts wasn't pathetic beyond words, its fair to say your trolling.
And Pitts has one cup since rebuilding
I get what your saying but there really is no proven way to build a winner |

I wouldn't mind if he stayed as president as he seems to wanna always do things to get the little edge. But i want Rick Dudley as GM |

Im a big Bishop fan. But TB has a much better team than TO. It could go either way with Bernier but from what I have seen he has played great. If you look at LU stats in Florida people could have said the same thing about him.
Lu had GAA (2.97, 2.44, 2.77, 2.71, 2.43) His save pct was always around .920. Which showed what his potential was. Lu panned out and became great. Who knows what Bernier will be but he was fantastic as a backup for LA with a great d. |

Why MTL?
I just don't see them giving up anything worthwhile, considering the season Burrows has had.
The prospects will have no problem earning their spots when they're ready. |

Definitely not saying all is fine on the Western front, but I think we're still better than the Leafs. |

I don't see anyone claiming the Canucks are fine without making moves.

Why am I trolling because we differ on the direction of the club? Just because a different opinion does not mean I am trolling. I am saying sell off old assets for new assets. much like your hockey team in the pool ,you realized your team is going nowhere and you traded and built for two years down the road.
The Sedins are getting old and slowing down. They are now 20 to 30 points off the top point producers. They are no longer the elite the have moved down to very good.
Burrows is. Getting older and slowing also. He is having more injuries and scoring is down. I don't want to be icing the two old guys from the Muppets.
Nice fight

Agreed that TB is better than TO, so is PHI. But both TB and PHI have a shaky D core in front of their goalies. It's not a coincidence that Bryz goes from all-star in PHX to laughing stock in PHI while Mike Smith goes from getting pulled every other game in TB to Team Canada while at PHX.
TB's D is arguably just as shaky as TO's so therein lies the basis of my point. What Bernier did in LA is irrelevant. LAK have probably the best team D in the league as evidenced by the .930%+ by Scrivens and .950% by Martin (who I never (frank)ing heard of until he was suddenly posting the league's best stats). |

Really don't think Burrows would net us much this year given his season to date. It would definitely be a sell low scenario so unless you're advocating a trade dump it might be best to wait until summer. |
