Any idea when Cammy got the concussion? He played the entire Pittsburgh game.
Maybe it's a smoke screen... - whipper334
I can't figure it out... Even on twitter no-one seems to know when. You'd assume it was in that game, but I don't remember anything. |

Yea I hear ya. If it was during the game wouldn't he had to go to the dressing room and get checked over under the new concussion protocol? |

If it was noticed, yes... So if no-one noticed... Maybe it didn't happen during the game? |

According to Peter Maher it happend during the 5min PP when he was hit into the boards by Glass. He then went onto take a cross checking penalty in retaliation. |

That was the only thing that even came close to sticking out in my mind. The hit wasn't up high, but maybe he hit his head against the boards when he went into them? |

Does anyone think it would make sense to extend cammy for say 5 mill for two years or so, then trade him and retain 50% for both years. Seems like a win win win.. Another team gets a steal of a deal, we get help reaching the cap floor, and cammy gets more money than he could on the open market next year.
Or would the CBA allow this? |

He will easily get 5M+ on the open market, especially since the cap is going up. And we won't need help getting to the floor, remember who's in charge now. I could see Burke taking on 1 or 2 brutal cap hits to bring in a couple higher draft picks or 1A prospects. |

You think so? Well I was meaning we sign him above narket value. I still think we will need help to reach the floor... I'd love to see us spend to the cap if it means a quicker rebuild, we have a unique opportunity with the new CBA I'd like to see us take advantage of that. |

I hear what you're saying but I think we have to take advantage of the next 2 drafts. 2 of Ekblad, Reinhart, McDavid or Eichel would be a great start... |

Yeah it looks like it changed in the last week. I still think Ekblad would be hard to pass up, especially for the Oilers. |

If he's gone though those others would all be great replacements for Gagner at 2C. Package up Sammy for some D.... |
