I've been banned from two sites. One was intentional after I was done with it, and had an issue with the CoC. The other was an admin abusing his power because we had a disagreement.

We lost a lost of good men back then. I get choked up every time I think of it.

Right. It's just odd to me cause, even though the interwebs is a pretty small place, there are probably a couple other hockey forums out there one could join. And a 3 month ban seems terribly excessive for a little hobby site.

Right. It's just odd to me cause, even though the interwebs is a pretty small place, there are probably a couple other hockey forums out there one could join. And a 3 month ban seems terribly excessive for a little hobby site.

MJL just has an issue with not putting things delicately. I have no problem with the guy, but he does have a tendency to lay into people pretty harshly. I don't know if I'd give him 3 months, but I can see why he got banned.

I think the thing about this one is that there are a lot of easy interactions that you can have with people that are fans of other teams, with the easy separation of the teams.

This is a pretty simple site to interact with other fans.

I've never been banned but I've had posts deleted. I've said some pretty bad stuff and never got a warning. I think I'm fortunate.

I missed the whole thing. I always thought he was pretty level-headed...extremely opinionated (like most here), but level-headed. So I'm a little bummed I didn't get to see the meltdown that lead to an epic banning.

MJL and I had similar stances then ("We're only 6 games into the year, the season isn't dead.") but he just went a little more militant than I did.
