How many of the top 10 saves of the year will be by backups and against the Flyers?

This team just seems so unlucky. You and I both know if that fluke play happens at the other end of the ice, that's a goal 100% of the time, no questions asked

seem like 150% of the time

This is where they have to work and think quickly -- Nashville's going to make them earn it

Giroux had the chance to shoot and passed it up. Its not rocket science, shoot the puck, crash the net, repeat as necessary.

Alright Raffl with Read and Couturier. Let's see if Vinny is in the first line now.

You can say that again

It's just ridiculous. Our glaring mistakes end up as goals.

Other teams' mistakes at least sometimes don't.

Sheesh. It's gotta even out....

Giroux has more shots than him this year
- JAKEw1234

talking about the PP. but yeah, Giroux too.

He and Jake seem like the designated shooters on the PP.

I think that had more to do with Vinny being out on the PP. They do load up with Vinny Jake and G sometimes though. It's been ineffective. Over the last few games, that line has been out for a few goals against and they don't take more than 5 shifts per game together.

To be fair, Mason was spectacular earlier this season.

LeCavalier to me, seems to continuously be a step behind the play. Other than that shot, he doesn't look too great.

Mason cant let anymore in for this game. Hutton is making highlight reel saves, need Mason to hold the wall.

exactly. how many open nets have we missed in last game and a half alone due to crazy luck for the other team?

then flyers always have stuff like the puck hitting someone standing near the faceoff dot and deflecting perfectly 15 ft over into a 2 inch opening to go in

I hear you -- I'd like him to fire that thing more often on the PP, if only to make guys stop playing him for the pass as much as they do

I wasn't able to watch the 1st period so could someone let me know what happened with the 2 goals against? Bad luck, poor D, or poor goaltending?

Bounce off a skate in front makes it 1-1.

Just expired 5-3--Legwand open--pots it. 2-1

Bad Raffl turnover on 1st one, Preds spend two minutes in zone and get redirection...little or no chance for Mason, Flyers just got worn out.

Second goal was after killing a 5 on 3 and VandeVelde failed to clear on the PK, and it was a cross ice pass to Legwand. Again, little chance for Mason

it's basically tradition
- FlyerGuy

speaking of tradition, how can it be a bad thing to score the first goal in a game?

One was a 5v3 goal. The other was a very strong shift from the Preds which eventually led to a Raffl turnover and coverage breakdown. Neither goal was really savable.

Well, as long as we're losing in the third I think we'll be alright.

stop waiting soo damn long to snap a shot when you get a quick pass. they love waiting that extra second so the lane is gone and shoot it directly into the defender

Slowly but surely the PP is getting worse and worse... Even on the road
