Or maybe not. |

Very classy write up. I must say I've only encountered good Boston fans. Boston is by far my favorite Eastern team. Best of luck in the remainder of the season, maybe minus today and next time we play at Boston haha. |

I think it's fairly clear by now that the Blackhawks will win this one, although I'm pulling for Boston. |

Another good game between these teams. I thought Marchand was the most effective skater on the ice today; scoring goals and getting under the Hawks' skin. Probably would have gone 2+ OTs if not for the gimmick. Great write-up, btw. See you in March. |

I've seen enough to know that even if the B's make it to the Finals, the four teams in the West are far deeper in talent. As much as I've enjoyed the "Merlot" line it's time for management to retool with some players that can actually not just check but score as well.
You can't blame the "D" today, the forwards failed to capitalize on their chances much like they did in the previous game against Dallas where they must have had five or six 2 on 1's with no goals.
Time for Chiarelli to add some true depth. |

Excellent post. I wanted to hate the Bruins, but after dealing with the Nuck fans for a few years, everyone is level headed in comparison.

Solid effort from the Bruins today, sucks to see such a good game end in a shootout. Marchand has found his game again and at the right time too.
As frustrating as this team can be to watch sometimes, they sit a top their division and 2nd in the conference. Not to mention 3rd in the league in ROW and tied for 2nd in fewest goals allowed. The return of Kelly and Dougie will help, and I'm sure Chiarelli and sniffing around on certain players.
You've been killing it with the blogs lately Ty, keep it up. |

The B's stats are nice but here is where the problem lies: they are playing in the weaker Eastern Conference. The Kings, Ducks, Sharks, Blues and Hawks are also posting some staggering numbers but in a tough Western Conference.
This all may not matter as the West Playoffs are going to be absolute wars and the team left standing may be stretched beyond its limits by the time it reaches the Finals.
I still believe that last years Cup run exposed the lack of depth on the B's. I recall how it was always mentioned how deep both teams were but really it was only the Hawks rolling a true 4 lines. This 4 line depth became the blueprint the other West teams followed in their off season acquisitions. |

i agree with all of this. the west just looks so dominate right now, its amazing that some of the teams are doing so well even tho they beat on each other constantly. i think whoever gets to the cup from the eastern conference will be in for a rude awakening.
obligatory compliment for ty's solid blog. |

Injured. He is currently out with a concussion. He has looked really good for such a young player when he has been healthy. |

Yeah, and before that it was a 'lower-body' (left knee) injury. |
