Vermette's a pretty underrated player, definitely could be a key part of a contending team.

Vermette is my 2nd favorite player behind Hossa. Have loved him since Ottawa. If the Avs weren't already so set at center I would love to have him on our team. Anyone who gets him will be very lucky. He was also a big part of the Coyotes run to the WCF a year or 2 ago.

I miss Lefty already

I personally love Smitty! I have since the first day he made his debut against us and shut us out! So much so I paid big $ for his Halloween jersey... Im fine with trading Vermete as long as we get a good future out of what we trade... As for Fiddler and Whitney I think we should leave well enough alone... Specially Fids, Gordon was a lot better than Fids... Well has more utility roles available than Fids...

Excellent point about top teams' goalies and the team making the goalie instead of the converse. The top-5 goalie in the league list changes every month depending how their team is doing. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
