I honestly don't understand what's so great about Ales Hemsky! I live in Alberta so I watch a lot of Oiler games on TV and I like the Oilers but can someone please tell me what's so great about Ales Hemsky! In all of the Oiler games I've watched I've never saw at anytime in a game where I thought WOW, how bout that Ales Hemsky! The guy has been in trade rumours since he's been with the team! The Sedins have huge value on the market, why not trade them? Can you imagine what the Canucks would get in return? Enough players and picks to rebuild the team properly. Seriously, they are 33 years old and on the decline. Why wait until they lose value?

Because - they hold special value within the franchise. Henrik is still a very productive player (when healthy), I have no idea what the deal with Daniel is though? If you trade them, you're basically in the Oilers territory, if you keep them but trade other assets such as Kesler, Edler & Bieksa, you remain somewhat competitive.

Henrik is the all-time leader in franchise points, much the same as say Joe Sakic (no I'm not saying Hank is = Joe Sakic) could you imagine if the Avs traded Joe Sakic to rebuild? You just don't do that.

That was my point. Who Frank Cares where the teams are at this time. My intent was to show the years of practice in loosing for the leafs fans (since 2004) While Canucks have had relative success. So we were not used to loosing. Hence the riot. But maybe now that we are "winner of 13th overall pick" we could go on a 10 year loosing skid then maybe when we make the playoffs and are up 3-1 in the 3rd period of game 7 and end up losing we wont riot and understand that we suck and should not have been in the playoffs to begin with. Good luck in the playoffs this year. Since you have already made it and obviously don't need to play the rest of the season.
