Hopefully the NHL has learned from their mistake the first time.

Rheaume was nothing more than a cheap publicity stunt.

So thats a no.

It's a "that's highly unlikely". But people saying that sexist stuff are just ridiculous. If you don't think women will play I hope it's because of skill and nothing else.

I think we will see a woman goalie. The women's goalies are 6ft + and I'm sure of they make 39 shutouts in a season than they are up to snuff with at least minor league play. If they could roll with those punches than who knows.

But I am a flyers fan. I'm not exactly sure what goaltending is exactly.

that Finnish Woman in net played great, looked like Tukka Rask....put her up against the mens team and she would look like Dan Cloutier in his prime.

The instant I saw the post title I knew the comments would be a non-stop parade of subtle and overt of sexism, and I have not been disappointed.

From snowboarding to hockey, the women's competition and performance is so much slower than the men's. I just don't see it happening.

So you think it's impossible that a woman could crack into a backup goalie position? Maybe not the best of the best. But capable to get the job done.

Girls are too smart to play hockey...Can you picture any women you've ever met wearing a half-visor and diving face first into a Chara slap shot? .....When people use the term " you don't have theballs to do it" it mean that we as men, knowing just how stupid and dangerous something may be, let Testosterone push us into retarded illogical and dangerous feats of strength, for no reason other than trying to show up the idiot beside us.

Impossible? Absolutely not. But to act as if men and women play all sports at the same speed with the same skill level just isn't reality.

Still, at least you had a place to comment on with other fans. You can ignore the blog and talk with other fans about the team. For many other teams, such as the Blues, they can go months without a blog and be one of the best teams in the league.

Not on the front page, oh no!

- eshake

OK, you may want to adjust the tin foil. Think you might be getting the wrong signals?
