I think it's a huge misconception that Doughty jumps into the play more than PK....or most other D.

He doesn't. He picks his spots a lot better that he did in his first year or two in the league.

Agreed - Doughty is better at picking his spots. Hopefully PK can take a page out of his book and not force the rush but rather take advantage of his opportunities. I am very much looking forward to seeing how much Babcock let PK do his thing. Lots of ice out there to move his feet and create and that is when he is at his best. Fine line between pushing the play on the rush and being still being defensively responsible.

I would say he (Doughty) does, but does it smartly. PK will get there too, eventually. But at this point PK's offense (5-on5) comes more from leading a rush than sneaking in from the point and getting the puck in stride in traffic.

Doughty's goal is a good example of that...he's a little smoother (more refined) than PK at this point.

Actually I do say....learn to read.

I believe it was Champ who said that PK would get 100 points if he jumped up as much as Doughty does. And...we all know...if one Hab fan says it, then all Hab fans must agree.

I believe that's how it works on this site.

I think Subban will take his time getting settled in but once he does, LOOK OUT! I think he will be tasked to jump in the play more than any other D man, except maybe Doughty. I look forward to seeing how much they use him on the PP. I can also see him becoming a regular after this game. All eyes on Luongo today. I think his rebound control is everything. Price rarely leaves opponents with a second opportunity. Price is a way better puck handler and this is an asset that can't be denied. Prediction 6-2 Canada. Luongo lets a softy and Price takes the reigns

agree...sort of...

But as for jumping into the play...he sometimes plays too fast...for some reason I don't see him gliding into the opening then bidding his time like Doughty did...not yet at least.
