Meh, every team has gotten hosed once or twice and gotten a steal once or twice.

JVR for Schenn has erased most of those Rask memories.

I guess he was referring to Rask
- habs12

How many games did he play for Toronto?

I don't know why everyone says that, Rask was an unknown at the time, Pogge had performed well to that date, Raycroft had an outstanding rookie season and won the Calder. His first year in Toronto he tied the regular season wins record and everyone hated him. I think you gotta look at the team around him then too, I think the trade made sense at the time.

What makes it even sweeter is the contract that came with JvRdcore

Team Canada can only get one goal by a former Leaf so far?..

Seems pretty straight forward...

- Fruitcakenipple

indicates to me that he meant the person who scored the goal was a former leaf, now had he said past a former leaf it would have changed the meaning, then I would have said he never played a game for the leafs

I love when people bring up how he tied that record. The (frank)ing guy played every game. (exaggeration)

Also, wasn't Rask coming off winning the goalie of the WJC's? On a not so good Jr team.

Yeah the timing of the comment seemed to indicate he was talking about the goal scorer but after reading it again it could go either way I guess

How frustrating is it to watch them own the face off dot, own possession down low but not get anything going in front of the net?

That's the best thing about it.

Not sure his ceiling, but if he becomes a 30-goal scorer, it'll be one of the best in the league.
