No, not at all. Karlsson is the best young talent in the NHL. The need to find a #2 for him is essential. In fact, it might be easier to do at the trade deadline rather than waiting for the off season.

But, I do agree they need to recoup some of the talent they gave up to acquire Ryan. Dealing Ryan and/or Spezza at the deadline should not be off the table.
