Hes been on the third line most of the season....Please don't say you would rather have Hayes than Versteeg......is that really what were talking about? - UnnamedSource

The Rundblad move was a move Stan didn't need to make. - EKolb13
Maybe, I think it was of the situation that if he didn't make the deal now he wasn't going to get a chance later. Plus, I think this move was made for next season even it makes things a little difficult this season. It's hard to judge this trade this season, wait until next year. |

They all have been inconsistent. Really except for a couple of guys. - Elbows15
That's all I was getting at - there is a team-wide malaise, which is worse than tsouris. |

I'm still scratching my head on that one. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The only thing I can get out of it is that Stan's idea was that he thought he was getting a value buy on probable talent for the future, which isn't the worst idea. However, he may have shot himself in the foot this season by doing it relating to carrying some extra cap room in oder to bring up some help for the last 13 games of the season. - EKolb13
The other thing is Morin deserves a call up...he's played great the past month. Regin and him would be acceptable extra forwards. |

I don't know who to root for in the Anaheim and San Jose games? I think I want anaheim to get 1st in the division leaving San Jose to take on LA. Yeah this conversation again |

fwiw the guys in meltzer's flyers blog on this site were all pissed we didn't get rundblad. they seem to think highly of him. - moylander
There seems to be quite a few people from different threads that think highly of him. More of the issue is Bowman needed to think about acquiring help that can pitch in now, or leave enough cap room to call up someone (Morin) to possibly give this team a different look to spark something. |

All true, but couldn't the teams have agreed to do the same deal just before the draft? - mohel
What if Stanbow knew then that Rozsival was iffy health wise?
What if Phoenix said make the trade now or we will move him and his nice cheap 2 year contract elsewhere?
What's the diff about when the trade was made? |

Okay, which side of the argument are you arguing for?
It's either the must win/play a full 60 minutes/need momentum for the playoffs or 40 good minutes a game/the wins will come.
40 minutes of effort will equal wins? For (frank)'s sake, what's wrong with you? - EKolb13
Chill out. My point was pretty clear. None of these games are must wins. Their not getting past the Blues, and aren't gonna fall past 3rd in the division at worst, so they know who their 1st round opponent is at this point.
They need to find a more consistent game based on how they have been playing. Playing 60 minutes is desirable. Notice the parenthesis it wasn't an either or statement. 40 minutes would be a step in the right direction based on the <20 minutes of solid play a game they have been getting. Even with <20 they are still in most games, so yes. Even with 40 more wins will come,
What was so hard to understand? For (frank)s sake what is wrong with you? |

Lotta work ahead for the Hawks before it matters. That said, I want the Kings to have the toughest road - I fear them the most, then SJ, then ANA. |

The Hawks are not likely to use him this season unless they lose 2 defensemen. The pick isn't until the summer, so PHX won't need it until then. PHX thought the Hawks had the best offer, so what's wrong with a handshake to make it official after the season? |

I agree about the Ducks. I fear the sharks the most of the 3. LA is stuck at #3 I think so they will have a very tough road |

I put a lot of stock in the seven games beginning with Nashville: wanted 6 - maybe all 7 - certainly possible.
Three of the 14 points gave already been lost - and they have not looked good losing them.
Let's just get thru the remaining games and get into the play-offs. |

i fear every team. I remember in 2012 playoffs. everyone was overjoyed when we drew phoenix which i am thinking everyone thought was an easy round 1 victory. our other option was Nashville.
The team i fear the most - SJ because of one super idiot - Torres. He basically knocked the Hawks out of the 2011 and 2012 playoffs. lol |

Yeah, the Sharks are playing well and getting healthy, so I'm not discounting them at all. I guess I still fear Quick and LA's shut down ability. Whoever plays in that 2/3 series out there are in for a real battle! That will be fun to watch. |

Will 40 minute efforts win a team a Cup?
Hey, I get what you're saying - some nights a 40 minute effort will get a team through. However, the Hawks are past the midpoint of the season where a team can get away with it.
It time to start ramping up for the playoffs and not coast into the end of the season with 40 minute efforts. Teams that coast into the end of the season do not do well in the playoffs. This team needs to pull it together now. Forget the standings, just win as many as they can. |

Because they are thin up front. No one carries 8 D. And who really cares if they miss out on him. How good can he be? He can't get into the Coyotes line-up and they aren't exactly stellar on the back end. |

Very similar, and the Kostka thing makes it even stranger, imo. It seemed they put Kostka on waivers to get some roster flexibility, and then they got right back in the same situation. I'd like to hear the rationale on that one. |
