The best part of Hossa's game - he will never dive to draw a penalty, even though most times he is held, hooked, slashed when he has the puck on his stick. For all you young players out there- please watch him play, and follow his lead! |

I heard Jokerit got eliminated. Their first round is best-of-3, right? Does that mean TT is on a plane already? |

81 is the MOJO MAN.
When he missed game 3 in Boston last year, his absence was deflating.
When he returned in game 4, even well below 100%, he gave us a big lift and the boys gutted out that pivotal o/t win.
Last night, I loved his north/south acceleration, especially on his tally. And great to see him BURY that chance.

TT's season already ended... - HawkFan27
He can play up to 10 regular season games without this season counting against his ELC, right? Do you think we may not see him for another 4 games? It would seem a waste of an entire year of contract for 4 extra games. |

Can play up to 9 games, then the ELC kicks in. Blackhawks will have to make some cap space before he can join the roster though.
I think the Blackhawks bring him along slowly but I would be surprised if we don't see him this year. I would be surprised if he played more than 9 games at this point. |

If he plays 9 or more games including playoffs he loses a year. So if he shows anything in these last few games then he is going to burn that year anyways in the playoffs. |

TT's season already ended... - HawkFan27
But the hype continues.
My mail arrived with The Hockey News Future Watch issue and now I am sure I know what is coming, and how I cannot wait...the future is now!
Tuevo Teravainen made the third best player overall. Wow!
I have bouught two dozen jerseys each with an unused number and all the numbers that TT wore on Jokerit & Team Finland so I didn't have to wait to find out what jersey will be hanging from the rafters very soon and in the HoF!
Tuevo Teravainen made the third best player overall.
Wow!
Oh...wait...isn't this the same Future Watch that declared Tuomo Ruutu was the number one best player not in the NHL, and future 25-30 gola scorer for the next decade? Yeah it is.
My favorite part so far is their team rankings :
1) TT 2) Ryan Hartman 3) Adam Clendening 4) Brandon Pirri (quote Mark Kelley: He has such wonderful chemistry with Patrick Kane) 5) Mark McNeill 6) Kevin Hayes 7) Joakin Nordstrom 8) Phillip Danault 9) Jeremy Morin 10) Drew LeBlanc |

Demote Brookbank, if he gets claimed, oh well. Prefer Rundblad in Rockford, but after giving up a 2nd round pick, dont want to just give him away on waivers |

Brookbank seems to be the logical choice. I know the Blackhawks will still be hit some with some salary cap though if he is in Rockford. Haven't done the exact math though to see if it will be enough to have TT around.
Rundblad won't be going anywhere, just like you stated, because the Blackhawks won't risk losing him. |

I am starting to think I need to find a new hockey discussion board.
Waive a rostered player who presently shows he has the ability to play defense in the NHL, and in the playoffs - furthermore weaken the defense position prior to the playoff ...so that a draft pick can play a few games in March or April ?
Moreover choose the player to waive, not by his ability to play in the 300 NHL games but because the player with 50 NHL games cost you a second rounder in a terribe draft year.... |

@mo Yes, there have been break up the core suggestions. The plan is to be in cap heaven, but make the team worse. |

Lol.
All kidding aside do you see any chance that TT can contribute to the top 6 ?

Sure in the near future next year maybe....an addition when there is a subtraction, either an injury trade...I really don't think they are gonna be rushing, maybe a few call ups, but unless he lights out dominates to the point where you can't send him down, it is going to be slow and steady.
Look at the wings-so many of those kids played several seasons in minor pro...no push, and right now because they has oh so many injuires you are gonna final see Landon Ferraro, ray's son, drafted in 2009, but slowly worked into pro and now and only now in a dire call up do you see him....he gets picked before LA's big Clifford, Jakob Silfverberg and Jeremy Morin and before Dylan Olsen---but not rushed. |
