I would like to just point out the fact that no it wasn't. You sir have me mistaken with someone else so please get your facts straight. It can't really be that hard either since there are only like 10 Panther fans on HB. - BravePackCats27
Alright buddy you keep telling yourself that we all saw what you posted. |

I'll give you that much - they are trending upwards. All the way from dead last to third last. I hope you and the other 4 fans who turn out for Panther games are enjoying your recent success! Congrats! - Canuckleafer
Please don't shoot the messenger as I'm just here to state some cold, hard facts. I think we both know a change is needed in Vancouver. A rebuild if you will. |

Allowing 52 shots (29 IN ONE PERIOD) isn't trending upward clown. - docmorgan
That's the problem, your system was flawed in Vancouver. Should've listened to Bieksa...shots, shots, shots, shots, shots. |

Thanks for LUUUUUUU! I'm sure he's happy to be out of that circus and we're happy to have him especially since one team is trending upward and one the opposite. I'll let you guys decide which is which but one hint is there's a reason everyone wants to be traded from one of these teams. Hey can we get Kesler from you guys at the draft? We'll give you a 4th round pick. After all you owe us after stealing Booth. - BravePackCats27
Florida has been or should have been trending upwards for the past 10 years, Luongo's in FL to play out a bad contract and retire where is wife wants him to be.
I'll be surprised if Luongo ever makes it back to the playoffs before he retires, sorry. |

Rewarding teams for losing for 5 straight years makes no sense if you want to avoid tanking..... If you commit to being terrible even when you start making the playoffs you'll get great draft picks. Just make sure to be brutal for 5 years.... - 89_hockey
teams that miss the playoffs should be thrown into a lottery and each one given a one in 14 chance of winning |

Why should winning the Stanley Cup mean you don't get a shot at selecting 1st overall. If anything I think the Cup winner should get rewarded with more future stars. Right now it's the freaking welfare system for multibillionaires. |

You must not have been paying attention around here. Most of us are excited about a "retooling".
That being said it's just funny getting talked smack by a Florida fan. You tend to expect it from fans of properly run teams but this really catches one off-guard.
I do have a question for you though sir - Didn't the Panthers fall from 1st in the Southeast to dead last the following year to 3rd (possibly second last) this season? It seems like my idea of trending in the right direction is a little different than yours. |

To add to that .... him playing on a lifetime contract and asking to move to Florida gives him little to no chance at a cup... Most players that want to win would never do this, especially at 34 yrs old. guess he is happy never winning the cup. Good Riddance. |

In a non salary cap world you want to help the bad teams be good. In a salary cap world there should be a limited scope to helping bad teams in the draft. The salary cap was brought in to bring parity.
Were you thinking all 14 teams a chance at number one or a lottery for all the teams that miss the playoffs? I'd like to see a lottery for draft rankings for non-playoff teams with a very marginal increase in odds for the horrendous teams. |

Because your goaltender bailed you out so you won?? Is that the trending up you are refering too? because clearly you have a much worse team this year and just because you have youth means nothing... how is Huberdeau doing this year? Enjoy Luongo at 40 yrs plus because he will be trending downward from here on out - SMP8719

Seattle?! They don't care about hockey, in fact being so close to Vancouver and seeing that debacle and side show circus would probably make them veto any attempt at a hockey team there. All they care about is the Seahawks and Starbucks. |

As long as Bettman is in the NHL you will have provisions to help the poor and the bad.GB loves the playoff races and he will never admit failure of weak franchises.
I personally would like a 30 team equal lottery for draft position but that would never happen so next best thing would be equal opportunity for teams that miss |

I am ok with the current system but they should continue the lottery for at least the first 5 picks, even better the top 10.
