Please don't shoot the messenger as I'm just here to state some cold, hard facts. I think we both know a change is needed in Vancouver. A rebuild if you will. - BravePackCats27
Your team isn't trending upwards, they only have the potential of trending upwards. Kind of like the Oilers. That is the cold, hard fact. |

I am ok with the current system but they should continue the lottery for at least the first 5 picks, even better the top 10. - SMP8719

Geez you guys are a sensitive bunch I was just coming in here to say thanks for Luuu. He's gonna help our young team grab some wins. Don't worry we'll add some key free agent pieces in the offseason and make a splash in the playoffs. We'll talk about this next year again but one thing is for sure neither of our teams are going anywhere this year. Kesler for a second final offer. And he would waive to be with his best friend Lu. |

Hey, hey, hey don't ever include us with that team. We made the playoffs a couple years ago. |

As long as Bettman is in the NHL you will have provisions to help the poor and the bad.GB loves the playoff races and he will never admit failure of weak franchises.
I personally would like a 30 team equal lottery for draft position but that would never happen so next best thing would be equal opportunity for teams that miss - VANTEL
Did you hear about the wheel idea? The gist of it is the ranking at the end of every year allow the worst teams to choose which pick they will select. Over a 30 year cycle you can only have each pick once. So Buffalo this year could select the 2nd overall pick because they know they will suck next year and would prefer a shot at being 1st in 2015. In the last few years of the 30 year cycle it would be a fun game of Sudoku |

And went straight back to cellar dwellers. That might indicate a downward trend in actual fact, wouldn't you agree? |

Well making the odds a little closer and not guaranteeing a top 3 pick would help.... isn't it right now as only one lottery pick ... that team gets the 1st overall then the rest of teams can only move back or forward 1 position? So worst case scenario the last place team is getting 1st or 2nd pick? If the non playoff teams with raffled off with a lottery, there would be more of chance for trading positions.

I think I just alerted a mod about this post by accident sorry.
Hope you don't get banned
I did hear about that . Once every thirty years we are entitled to a number one. I actually don't mind it seeing we have rarely had a chance to draft top 10 |

Hey that might actually work since Huberdeau is tanking. He needs to bulk up and toughen up this offseason of be swallowed up in the future. I know you guys have said Kesler didn't want to play wing though so it may not work as we have too many C's. Please don't call me a troll like the leaf fans. I'm sorry. Those people are the scum of the earth...the trolls I mean. |

No just a hiccup for one season. We needed a goalie who wasn't 40 years old and a nutcase. Plus we need a couple pieces like some scoring forwards. |

Could definitely see that as the center pieces of a trade guess it would depend on what others are offering or if the Nucks really want to trade Kesler.
And if you post kesler for a 3rd your sir are trolling.... so if you don't want to be called one... please refrain

If Edler keeps playing the way he has been playing we will need to add Booth to sweeten the deal Edler and Booth for a seventh. |

Yeah our plan is to grab Callahan. Trade for Bobby Ryan and maybe add a D-man. |

For a seventh? You're overvaluing both of them there... Edler + Booth + 1st Round (2014) + 1st Round (2015) and then maybe you get a conditional 7th round pick or future considerations (water boy)
