You can say the same about any team, east or west. Detroit is the most injured team I can ever remember seeing this year and they play in the East. And both Chicago and LA were virtually injury free heading into their finals.

Exactly my point. The West is the better conference but it does not guarantee that the Western conference champs will win the cup.

The West has better teams. If you're going to bet on one conference, or a team, pick the better team/conference. That's my point. Obviously there are never guarantees.

Yeah the East really posed a problem for LA and CHI.

Winnipeg is up 3-2 on Colorado in the 2nd and the leafs are losing in the 3rd.

This theory floated about that somehow the winning team in the west will be so broken come the finals is a myth that only holds 1 example: the Canucks.
