It may have been that other guy who sounds a lot like you.

How will that affect the Maple Leafs?

This lineup is absolutely horrible. It will get us the top 5 pick next year if that is what you are gunning for. Top line is too slow. Second line no major improvement. 3rd line is small. Jensen is not a 4th liner and Santo is a small center for 4th.

Here is what I would like to see

Jensen Hank (Burrows/Higgins/Edler trade)
Danny (Kesler/Hensen Trade) Kassian
Santo Mathias Fox
Sestito/ Richardson/Gaunce Lain/Archie

That would be reset. But it does require shipping out 5 guys to get 2-3 guys of quality back.

I'd have to agree, that other lineup was far too similar to the team we have right now.

I'd be hesitate to pen in Jensen onto the top line for a full season. You just don't see too many rookies that can handle that grind against the league's top defensemen for a full 82 games. I'd slot him in on the 2nd line and on the PP. Keep in mind we've watched Jensen shine against some of the league's worst teams. The upcoming stretch of games will be far more interesting to gauge where he is in his development cycle, but unfortunately Hank is now sidelined so it won't be an accurate comparable.

Kassian absolutely should be given consistent top 6 minutes next season. The prospect monicker is over. Time to see if we've got a top 6 winger there or an inconsistent tweener.

I'm good with breaking up the Sedins on a more permanent basis but I'm not sure if anyone in management is ready for that yet.

I don't think anyone of us can pen in Fox to make this roster full time next season. We'll have to see what he shows in camp.

Our bottom 6 might be the best bottom 6 we've had in more years than I can remember.

Well, then Pens do have a couple of games against the Blue Jackets and the Red Wings. If those teams beat the Malkin-less Pens, it makes it a bit more difficult for the Leafs to make the playoffs

If the Leafs don't make the playoffs, it's gonna be a trollfest all summer long.
