It's bad that the Wings get away with so much interference than McGuire has a name for it. "The Red Wing Touch", almost sounds as dirty as "The Rusty Vokoun".

I'm a Fleury supporter. But his last few playoffs have been nightmares. It's been a bad combo of the guys in from of him forgetting to help him and him utterly collapsing mentally. Hopefully he pulls it together this season.

I thought he said "The Red Wing Brush". As in brushing up against a guy just enough to interfere and slow him down. It's absolutely accurate. They're masters at it and it's definitely a coached strategy. No other team does it as consistently as that team.

I still don't get it. Why is it better to take the harder path? Do you drive to work backwards every day, use a chisel to write things down, and work blindfolded all day? Of course not. You take the easiest road to success that is possible.

I think I get it. Harder isn't better but if that's how it went, it would be pretty fulfilling to exorcise our demons along the way.

Yeah, that's what it was. Either way it still sounds dirty and it is definitely a Red Wings play that they have used forever.

Washington is officially eliminated? I wonder where McPhee will end up.

I mean what do you even do there? I have always thought McPhee was a good GM but I don't see many other options there. Too much invested in Ovie to trade him and get anything less than a huge return.

Well written. Do you keep GMGM? Do you keep Ovie?

Shanahan hired as Leafs President of Hockey Operations. Should be interesting.

That poor poor man. It's bad enough he had to take a turn as discipline czar. Hasn't he suffered enough?

Oooh Rupper with a shoulder to Oshies head. I don't think it was intentional, I think he just missed his heat and nailed Oshie right in the face.

A couple of nasty hits by ex pens tonight. Murray with another one right off a suspension.

+/- is such a useless stat in most cases. But in Ovi's I think it does tell a large part of the story. When a guy scores 50 goals in a season but goes -38 I think it speaks volumes of how terrible 5 on 5 he and his linemates are.

Jean Sebastian Dea is heading to Wilkes Barre. I am really interested to see how this kid turns out. 45 & 49 goal seasons, and scored at an even higher rate in the playoffs.

Pretty awesome. Surprised he was passed over in the 2012 draft He looked good in camp. Glad to see he had a good year. Of course...It's the Q...but either way it's competitive hockey and those are very good numbers. He's not an overly big kid, but he's pretty quick. Has some height but might need to add a bit of weight. Excellent release. Goes to the net a fair bit. Underrated passer. RH shot.

A nice FA signing

Anyone else watch the Frozen Four semis last night? Union and Minnesota should be a fun matchup for the title.

This was incredible.

He grew a few inches in the last couple of years. If he is just one of those late physically maturing guys, he could be a steal. He obviously has the skating and skill, just has to develop a bit.

He would be one of those nice surprise out of nowhere players that the Penguins don't seem to ever get.

It was a great evening of hockey... That Holl kid from Minny will never forget that goal the rest of his life.

I'm rooting for our local Union, who plays their home games about 2 miles from my house. As a Flyer, Shayne Gostisbehere could be a thorn in the Pens side for many years to come.

Rooting for Union. I have a passionate disliking for Minnesota. This dates back to my Denver days.
