Don't forget Dustin "Knee" Brown as someone else who loves using his knees as weapons to take players out. |

Paul,
I was hoping you would right this blog. I wanted to be sure you were consistent with your criticism of players who deserve it. It seems as if you are.
Matt Cooke should be gone for at least the rest of the playoffs and 26 games total.
Thanks for writing an honest blog about Cooke. He really is a snake. |

Paul do you think Cooke has done enough to warrant a ban from hockey? He's a repeat repeat I mean repeat offender. |

If Bertuzzi didn't get one from basically crippling Steve Moore, I doubt Cooke would, even with repeat status. But he should get what Torres got (25 games). |

The sad part of the Torres suspension is when the leauge shortened it! Thats a great way to show the players that you are serious about getting rid of the dirty plays |

The league has shown it won't stand by its decisions. Just look at who has the 30th pick in this year's draft. |

True, typical NHL BS
Heck, if they really cared bout player safety they would ban hard elbow and shoulder pads. |

Remember Shanaban is no longer in charge... We might see an honest punishment handed out. |

Yeah, but none of his hits have caused as much damage as that, or even McSorely's stick swinging. We're talking about 2 incidents that had to go to court for assault. |

But remember, Gary is still in charge in the end, and can basically change the suspension on a whim. |

How many people do you need to cripple to get a lifetime ban? You'd think it would be a one and done type scenario. |

So how many players does he need to cripple before he should be tossed out of the game (and I mean the game - NHL, KHL, Beer league). It is a complete joke that this guy gets paid even 1 cent for stepping on the ice. He disrespected the game, and took the rules in his hands when he decided to attack a helpless player.

No disrespect Paul, but it is easy to say what you've said after the fact. As they say, hindsight is 20-20. Wondering if you are "on record" with this opinion re Cooke prior to last night's unfortunate hit. It would definitely lend more credence to your opinion and make it something more than just reactionary towards a player with a bad reputation. |

I am asking specifically about Matt Cooke and any prior opinions that are on record re Cooke specifically. That's all. Don't have to hate on an honest question. |
