I think Yeo's comments were fine. Probably about what I'd say as a coach.

Blysma was critical of Cooke after the game?
- SotaPopinski

The entire pens org pretty much came out and said "that hit has no place in the league and we full support the suspension."

I get where you're coming from. Any news on Bordeleau? I saw that he returned after Nino slashed him, but didn't notice him on the ice
- SotaPopinski

Both him and Benoit came back in the game. Whether they are hurt we wont know until the playoffs are over.

I recall Shero coming out afterwards and being pretty critical, never heard about Bylsma... but good for them.

Just saw a replay of the Cook infraction.

Am I the only one who's not seeing the bad hit everyone else is seeing?
His weight seemed to be on that leg, how can he "stick it out" with intent?

Looks like an unfortunate collision, that's all.

He was going for the elbow, which is nearly as dooshy, ended up with the knee.
So yes, I'd say everyone but you is seeing the bad hit

He clearly flexes and extends his knee TRYING to make contact with Barrie who was trying to get out of the way after making his pass.

You could say Seabrook had "An unfortunate collision". This is Matt Cooke we are talking about, this is what he does.

I'm sure Minnesota's PR team told Yeo how to answer questions about the hit whether he saw it or not. They kept Cooke himself from being available for comment. So part of it is also just following orders but even if he did see it, a coach can't call his own player out even if he knows how big a piece of poop Cooke is.

What would Cooke have even been able to say?

Reporter: "How does it feel to be one of the biggest pieces of Sh!t in hockey?"

I was hoping for Other-Barrie (Elliott) rather than Wilson, Other-Barrie has potential, Wilson seems done.

If O'Reilly wins the Lady Byng, does Cherry still have his Irish boner for him?

Refs better get a handle on this one early but they didn't even know how to drop a puck for a face-off so i'm not too confident in that!

I'm thinking Wilson gets the call simply because he can deliver the big hit and let's not kid ourselves...Avs will want to lay the lumber on someone!

just wait till he gets a Selke nod too (unlikely but outside chance), Cherry will have a coached corner dedicate to him

Thats why I think Roy put in Wilson as well. He must be comofortable with puck movers in Holden and Benoit, wanted Wilsons heavy hitting.

I really hope Hishon gets a serious crack out there, I have been rooting for the Kid for a while now.

He still isnt NHL ready. The Avs are just getting too many injuries and havent had the time to acquire org depth yet. So we dont really have any other choice.

oh yeah what makes you say that? I think Roy believes he is ready, and he wants to add an offensive guy. You have nothing but negative towards this guy.

If he wasnt NHL ready Roy could of called up guys like van der Gulik, Olver, Sgarbossa who have all had NHL experience in call up situations. He has other options yet he went with Hish.

He has been injured for most of 3 years and previously only put up 28 points in 60 games in the AHL. I am hoping he does well but in my mind I just dont see him as NHL ready. If it wasnt for all of the injuries he wouldnt be called up.

The Avs have Cliche as a 3rd line forward and Wilson on D, they are in rough shape. With everyone healthy the Avs have a very dangerous line up, however they havent had the years of drafting necessary in order to have the depth that you need in situations like this.

The Avs right now are relying on the Mack line, EJ and Varly to win this series. I also dont get too hyped up over prospects.

I am an Avs fan through and through, but I am just not getting my hopes to high when the Avs are so worn thin as they are now.

Hes a skilled guy and I think he can make an impact in this series, he has had a rough couple of years, but I am glad he is getting called up, shows to me that they are not ready to let him go as an RFA. He has a chance to prove himself after being cut down from that McNabb dirty hit, im rooting for the kid

I agree. I am not sure if he can make an impact on this series, but find it interesting that he gets tapped on the shoulder for this.

Maybe sometimes guys have talent but don't play with talented players or players that they can have chemistry with. While holding my favorite unicorn, Hishon comes up and plays well with..... and career takes off.

On another note I was just thinking that ROR sure misses the chemistry with Duchene
