The thing is, they are continuously giving it to Simmonds to try and carry it up the ice. He should rarely be doing that, but they do it because he has the speed to do so.

That 2nd line is such a cluster(frank) and its needs to change. Stop trying to ram a square peg into a round hole. Having other lines contributing, would also help open up room for Claude.

rangers play a tight defense so simmonds isn't really getting open in front of the net and lundqvist isn't really giving up those fat rebounds he's great at putting in

You are negating his contributions by asking him to be the puck carrier in the transition game.

They need to put that Hartnell-bSchenn-Simmonds line back together, and wear down the Rangers. Switch it up

Really people? He has Girardi and McDonagh on him all game long. It's not hard to see your stats go down when facing that pair. If he was facing, say, Timonen and Coburn like the Rangers, I'm sure he'd be putting up points. But if you can't tell that he is working his ass of then your blind. You want to be pissed at someone. Read and Timonen would be good bets. No hustle from either and lax with the puck.

I do hold everyone to that level.
Giroux has no excuse for not burying that shot at the start of the game.
Hartnell, Giroux, Couturier, Simmonds, VL have pretty much been useless offensively to this point.

Im not moving Schenn because the Flyers have a lot of centers though. If they can move him to fit a need (1 or 2 dman) or a legit winger to go with Giroux and Voracek then I do.
