Why on earth would you have Hartnell in the last minute on the last? He caused the last offsides, arrived 1 second late on the last forecheck.... |

They lost. But it's ok cause Giroux scored. Wish I lived in your world of mediocrity. - Flyersgod
Weren't you miserable yesterday that Giroux didn't score in Game 4...the game they won?

:i hope i'm wrong, but i expect nothing to change on tuesday. they've shown no real signs this entire series of being in control of anything. today was a disgrace. - hammarby31
Every time they have lost in this series they followed it up with a win at home.
I see no reason why that will change Tuesday, game 7 has me worried though.

Rags are just a better team. Sucks to say but it's true. - LJF
If so, just barely. And only up to now.
But I think the jury's out on that thought until this series is over. |

Great Giroux scored that 2 goal but your captain and best player had to bury that goal on the first shift or whatever it was.
Mason played iffy.
Just annoying that so many black holes on this team when scoring depth was their str all year.
Simmonds, Couturier, Hartnell, Raffl, Read , Giroux..all black holes right now even with Giroux scoring that late goal. - opeth_pa
c'mon. that was a terrific game all around, especially those meaningless 2 powerplays in the first period, right? RIIIIIGHT? |

This could just be me, but I personally think they are damn lucky to have won two games in this series to begin with. Both have been steals by the goaltending. |

I have never said Coburn was good but yet most in here think we are lucky to have him. The Flyers have a bunch of 3rd or 4th d-man on their team and asking them to more than they can handle. |

and his forecheck on the end boards basically caused the puck to come out the other way for an easy out for the rangers. i'd (frank)ing scratch him. honest to god, i would. |

by the look of simmonds' reaction, i'd agree. - hammarby31
What was the final score. A little to late. Sorry but moral victories don't win games. |

Even if this goes to game 7, no way Flyers win the series. That have done nothing in the first 5 games to make anyone think otherwise. |

The series has been back and forth. There are 7 games for a reason. No excuse for today's performance and I don't expect to see anything close to this for game 6. |

When the Flyers win the next two games all the Negative fans will have yolk on their brows.
The defending positive do gooders will prevail over the negativity. Lead pipe lock with all the trimmings! |

Positives coming from this game:
the defense that the team puts on the ice Tuesday will not be what they Ice in October. At least 3 of those players will not be here i hope |

Exactly, went for the showy hit rather than playing the puck.
On merit, imo, Rangers should have won this series 4-1. They are that much better. |

How about win two of those. And one on Ranger ice?
Or doesn't that factor in? |

Hartnell isn't the only one and that is the problem. Too many players not competing and nobody to replace them with. We are stuck with Hartnell, Schenn, Simmonds, Vinny, and I would say Giroux as well. |

Watching these guys after 5 games I have no idea what their identity is as a team.
One thing I know,
if they don't win the special team battle they lose. |
