Would have been nice if Mason saved either that 1 or 3 goal. - opeth_pa
Or if Coburn don't make that brain dead pass. Game changer. |

Really haven't seen the Flyers play their best this series. - feelingkettle
they haven't even come close, and that's the frustrating part. if they played that way and still lost, i tip my hat. the rangers are playing the way they always do, and perhaps that's where you have to give them the most credit. they never seem to waiver, play hard, smart and consistent game after game after game and chip in their breaks, like the winning goal today. total flyers error. a ranger did not force coburn to make a bad pass to the middle rather than go up the boards or stall and make a play. csp has been an absolute non factor in this series. |

This could just be me, but I personally think they are damn lucky to have won two games in this series to begin with. Both have been steals by the goaltending. - flyer_nutter
The rags are slightly better, and faster, but the female doging is just insane. Ok. The Flyers lost today. female dog away.
But the same people female dog and female dog and female dog during Game 4, the day after, even when they're winning -- it makes no sense! |

How about win two of those. And one on Ranger ice?
Or doesn't that factor in? - 77rams
Really? What did the Flyers do well in those 2 wins that gives you any confindence they can win this series. Both those wins were because of the goaltender. Emery won game 2 and Mason won game 4. |

When the Flyers win the next two games all the Negative fans will have yolk on their brows.
The defending positive do gooders will prevail over the negativity. Lead pipe lock with all the trimmings! - PLindbergh31
I would love for this team to win, but you can't say they have played anything close to a good enough effort in any of the games this series that they have lost. |

Yup flyer have played bad rangers have played good enough. Against a team playing horribly, they look great. |

Positives coming from this game:
the defense that the team puts on the ice Tuesday will not be what they Ice in October. At least 3 of those players will not be here i hope - the deaninator
I agree with this statement. A dman who can carry the puck through center ice and be an offensive threat is much needed. Really haven't had that type of dman since Pitkanen. |

could have been a different outcome had Gill and Akeson hit those wide open nets. - FlyerGuy
Akeson is clearly a skill player. The way he kept the puck in by dancing along the blue line. But, he does seem a tad slow in his reactions. Like he thinks he has a bit more time than he does. Lets see what he can do after playing a 40-50 games in the NHL.
Next year, they have to do something about the 2nd line. That line is just not the sum of its parts. |

The Flyers need to start scoring goals if they have any prayer. Relying on the goalies HAS NOT WORKED OUT FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The Flyers, not Mason or Emery, scored 4 consecutive goals in game 2.

Exactly, went for the showy hit rather than playing the puck.
On merit, imo, Rangers should have won this series 4-1. They are that much better. - PT21
I don't think the Rangers are that much better ... but they certainly are a bad matchup for the Flyers.
in much the same way the Pens probably don't want to play the Flyers, the Flyers would have been better served to avoid the Rangers. |

I'm sorry but there is no way that a player like G, the captain of this team, can ever miss that pass from Jake. I truly think I could have scored that goal. Puts them up 1-0 early completely changes the game. Not saying they definitely win, but changes a lot. After that they get 2 power plays and get what 2 maybe 3 shots from that. Gifted the no goal call, I mean what else do the Flyers need.
The Rags want it more and bury their chances the Flyers don't. Gill and Akeson have shots that have to go in or at least go on net.
Which game have the Flyers really been the better team. Yes they've won 2 games but were they the better team in them. This is going to be a very tough series for them to pull out the win. It could happen, but from what I've seen they will have to be a completely different team.
How could so many 20 goals scores go dry at the same time? |
