ever. its annoying. (frank) girardi for that straight tackle.
that pretty much seals it. make it 4 2 and you have a shot. oh well. on to game 6.
(frank) this team though. i realize theyre spanking them, but theyre not even that good. - stayinthefnnet
great play by girardi - and hilarious that the near ref did not make the call. wtf is he looking at?
not to worry, the blueskirts will be dispatched. |

Those small stocky players are tough to get a bead on. Low center of gravity and all. Plus it helps that he's on the quicker side in terms of skating/shiftiness. |

Crosby is super frustrated. That was a penalty on the back check on Crosby (Dorsett) that thwarted a sure goal. No call. |

Apparently Crosby has only drawn 1 penalty in the playoffs to date.
The staggering difference in officiating from the regular season to the playoffs is annoying. IMO they're limiting their own product on the ice by letting so much go. |

yup. seriously. how do people still maintain this mentality of the league strokes this team? someone can honestly say with a straight face that its within the realm of plausibility that crosby can play practically 11 games. and getting mauled like he does. draws. one. penalty. one.
yeah, that call was a joke as well. but whatever, this games over. |

Rangers did the same crap to Giroux too. There's only so much a guy of Giroux and Crosby's size can handle. Voracek is big, fast and strong enough to blaze through it as is Malkin. |

i know. and just as a hockey fan, i hated it. its a shame. these are the (frank)ing rules. they do not bring out a separate book for the playoffs. they dont, so i hate this (frank)ing stupid mentality of ohhhhh its playoff hockey boys. no. its hockey. played under the same compilation of rules as the other 82 games were played under.
i realize i just sound bitter. bit its a joke. |

The refs have been terrible pretty much the entire playoffs. Very inconsistent work, and it's league wide. Of course when the refs are so bad that Tim (frank)ing Peel is working round two, you gotta be scraping the bottom of the bucket |

seriously. i love this sport. but its beyond pathetic. how are you supposed to retain relevance among the average observer when youre literally a joke when your lights are shining the brightest |

your team is perhaps the dirtiest team in the league. james kneel should come out of the locker room, skate to the penalty box and stay there the whole game. thank God they finally stopped falling for crosby's diving act.....just be thankful they let you get away w/ murder an stop crying you don't get 27 5 on 3's a game |

okay. how bout this then if that doesnt work for you. if were really going to boil it down to a practically brain dead observer. your argument still doesnt hold water. because this hypothetical average observer, who knows so little about hockey that they cant spot a blatant rule infraction, would probably watch solely for offense and goals and slick, skilled plays. do you know the precise way to virtually eliminate them from the game?
oh yeah. take the page in the rulebook which contains interference. rip it out, and crumple it up and shove it up the head ref's wussy.
so yes. this inconsistency and awful officiating does have a negative impact for the average fan |

never once in any of these posts have i ever defended james neal, or anything he does. and what he may or may not do is fairly irrelevant to the issue at hand being discussed. id never say the pens dont do their fair share of stupid, and yes, sometimes dirty poop throughout the year.
but once again. that does not justify, nor in any way particularly pertain to, the notion that the NHL completely alters its game and negatively impacts its own product in the post season. you saw it yourself with your own team |
