I think you and I are the only 2 that would be ok with CGY either trading down to grab Virtanen or taking him outright at #4.

I'm not sure about taking him at 4, and my worry is that to trade down to get him they can't go much lower than 6th or 7th as I think that Vancouver and Carolina also love the idea of a power forward on the right side.
And if they aren't trading any lower than that, then I wouldn't think that there would be a whole lot added into the trade to really make it worth the move.
I'd rather see them take whoever falls to them at 4th out of the top 4 (Bennett, Reinhart, Ekblad, or Draisaitl) or consider Dal Colle. Then make a serious attempt to get another high pick (Winnipeg or Anaheim with the Ottawa pick), and hope that one of Ritchie, Virtanen, or Fleury are still around at that spot. I don't see any of the other teams with better picks than those giving up their pick unless they are moving up in the draft. I think that Winnipeg and Anaheim are much more in the mode of something that can contribute now as opposed to developing a teenager for 3 or 4 years from now. Offer up Hudler, and / or Wideman (salary retained)as part of the deal. Add I one of their 2nd round picks. If the right guy is still available, consider a prospect from the log jam of left shooting skilled guys.
I honestly think that one of Ekblad or Reinhart will fall to 4th (whichever one Florida doesn't take, or if Florida takes Bennett it will be Ekblad that falls). Then pick the opposite if they can get that second pick. It is all more than doable.
