Yes, because self made billionaires like Ed Snider and Mike Illitch would voluntarily weaken their teams and risk revenue going into their own pockets to help out small market teams.
You know Ed LOVES writing that revenue sharing check to Nashville every summer - Jsaquella
Well I am of the partial belief that Ed probably has some form of early dementia but that's just me. |

I had just walked back in the room after yelling at my kid about the poptart wrapper that was stuck to the bottom of my foot. |

Yeah, Snider hates that, which is why the idea of a conspiracy is nonsense. Guys like Snider aren't going buy into a system where they don't get a fair shake |

I wasn't so mad about stepping on it as I was that I knew it was the last frosted cherry I hid in the box of granola. I mean c'mon, what was he doing with the box of granola? |

He gets a fair shake. He makes a fortune and is part of an empire.
Not judging the empire.let other jedi knights do that.
I think it's all about the $$$$ not about championships |

If it was about the money, why would he agree to let Chicago or Pittsburgh land highly marketable players like Crosby or Kane? Snider would make more money with those guys on his team, rather than lesser known players.
Also, Snider wants to win as much as he wants more money. Part blessing and part curse, Snider drives his management to try and win every year, even if it's short sighted. |

You wouldn't think cancer and being 80+ would be good for showing patience.
Patience is overrated. When was George Steinbrenner ever patient? He did nothing but meddle. Yet all he did was win. I guess that formula can work too. |

I can't believe we're on page 13 and the main topic of the day has been whether the NHL lottery is corrupt |
