Could be the hype of seeing a fantastic defenseman too. They don't come around too often. I'm for getting a forward at this high in the draft. Those opportunities don't happen very often. and we can't trade for one .

Maybe with all Pegula's dough he can buy a time machine . That camp they had last year helped them make great choices. Too bad other teams were too cheap to have their own and it was easier to outlaw teams having their own evaluation camps..

If FLA were to take say Bennett 1st. I would attempt to move down to pick 3 or 4 and take the forward available. Then I would try to move to the middle of the 1st.

Assuming say CGY wants Ekblad.

Basically, I want reinhart at 2. Im good with bennett or draisitl if murray goes that way. Maximum Signal and paul hamilton both have said they hope ekblad gets taken first just so the sabres arent tempted. I wonder if the sabres don't have more options if ekblad is there at 2. Wonder if tim murray wants to gamble on on the 4th overall and try to parlay the additional haul (from dropping back 2 spots) into virtanen. That option may not be there, but its even less likely if ekblad goes first.

I highly doubt the Sabres media department has any real insight as to who the front office is really leaning towards. And if they did, they'd be fired for leaking any real information. Also, the Reinhart interview had more to do with his endorsement by CCM than it being some sort of precursor to the guy the Sabres will pick. That said, I hope Reinhart is the guy.

So does half the league. Murray should start a bidding war for his services and if it is Dallas that brings the best offer then by all means ship him to Texas to reunite with Ruff

Obviously would love Campbell, but with Lehtonen being what he is I can't imagine they're in a hurry to move him.
