Agreed. I know everybody's looking for that #1 centre and has there sights set on Reinhart, Bennett, Mcdavid or Eichel but I want this team to have there own Doughty more than anything.

I know Myers and Risto are good but I seriously doubt they'll ever be on that level on a consistent basis.

Guys like Doughty and Weber who I think are hands down 1 and 2 are two of a kind. I would love either one, but it's been proven that you can win without someone of that caliber, the Rangers have McDonagh but he isn't close to Doughty IMO, you absolutely can't win without a great group of forwards, and depth at forward.

IMO we can win with Myers/Risto/McCabe/Zads/Pysyk.

Obviously if they all pan out.

Myers is the difference maker (I know needs to be consistent)
Risto is the Seabrook type 25 minute top pairing guy

And McCabe and Pysyk can each be the calming puck movers on pairs 2 and 3.

I agree with what you're saying (i was merely speaking out of preference more than anything) but you seem to have more faith in the bolded than I do.

Imo, none of three go beyond being 2nd pairing defencemen, and I mean that as their ceiling.

I get that Zadorov has the size and McCabe was great at the WJ but on the surface I think it's very optmistic and a tad un realistic to think all three will hit or exceed their potential.

It's part of why I've been banging the Ekblad drum for a while now. I'm just not as sold on some of these guys as most seem to be. We've seen this story before. Granted it's early but I hate the idea of passing on Ekblad because "we don't need him". That's a load of poop, can't pass up on BPA because you think a college kid you drafted in the 2nd round will be your future #2 or 3.

I thought the rangers sucked, why are they winning by two? I feel like the media has been misinforming me.

You were saying ? Lundquist has to play out of his head for Rangers to have a shot . Quick can be average. Hope the result of this one does not deflate the Rangers . I still want to see a good series.
