Michael, nice write up as usual. Just one big missing piece.....the timing/standings ! I have no problem with Marty wanting to finish his career in NY. If Marty was a real pro, he would have demanded his trade to NY AFTER the season. Or if the Lightning were out of the playoffs. Had the Bolts been out of the playoff hunt, me and most of the fan base would have carried his bags to the airport, shook his hand and wished him luck. But being the captain, on a team higher in the standings than the Rangers, and wanting out before the playoffs start....BS.... GO KINGS !!!!

Thanks!

And great point. One of the many issues I had/have with his departure. He ran out on his teammates. Some captain.

I'm perfectly calm. If you think I'm upset over anything on hockeybuzz you must be mistaken.

you don't have any remarks about St. Louis' dead mother to chime in with?
- jimbro83

I would never make a comment about his family. I know what it is like to lose a parent suddenly. I don't like how he left Tampa, but I would never say anything about his family!

There are a lot less income taxes here than in New York though. To make about $600,000 more per year playing in Tampa than playing in New York.

I think you look at dustin brown that contract and tell Callahan there you go that's the rate. Otherwise enjoy the rebuild in buffalo!

That Dustin Brown contract still isn't a good one.

It's to the point St. Louis is gone! Time to move on we got two first round picks for a 38 year old! If we resign Callahan that's a bonus! Not a bad deal at all.

I swear signing Callahan will be a mistake. I rather have paquette and panik learn his role

Agreed! Hey Mikey, how about a list of possible draft prospects? Maybe a rundown of potential UFA signables and filling of the backup position?
