I hope they were watching that JR and pierre segment before the game started. Our forwards were always too low, letting their D have a lot of time to shoot. Plus our d are too weak to win battles in front. They were showing how our D-men should get in front of their forward and tie up his stick. Plus our forwards play up more not giving as much time to their point men. LA countered but we should have still tried it - tomcat24
That is insane..
Saad is going no where.
Yeah, Saad straight up for Kesler maybe.

What are the Hawks going to do with any of those guys beyond Bickell right now?
Furthermore what are the odds of any of those guys(other than Bickell) playing a role on the Blackhawks now or ever?
What are the Hawks going to do? develop those players to play bottom 6 roles, while we can have Kesler playing #2 center at 50% salary?
Let other teams develop those players, and let them mold them.
The Hawks already have a solid core. They have 7-8 forwards and 4 defeneman in our core - and that is being conservative.
If anything I have made the most realistic offer yet.. - Tazer19

Of all the proposed trades and signings that have been thrown around here the last week or so, the one I like the best is getting Adam Oates to run the PP. |

Back reading......I learned the Hawks:
Will be major players in the FA market....even though they haven't been in six year....and if all these domino moves happen.
TT is a hybrid of Malkin and Kane....of which after reading I almost broke my computer.
TT will be an NHL all star....it's a for sure thing
Bickel is no different than Jimmy Hayes even though Jimmy Hayes looks like Shrek on skates and the Hawks transition game leaves him skating behind the play constantly.
How are you D??
Game of thrones last night....one of the best episodes ever! - UnnamedSource
GOT definitely held serve with continuing to have the 2nd to last episode of the season be dynamite...don't know if it's one of the best ever.

Generally agree with what you are saying.
But less than a top tier guy could find his way to CHicago - let's say Bowman moves Leddy for a very good prospect on an entry level deal and then turns around and gives someone like Anton Stralman #8's money to strengthen the D group. Improbable but not impossible. - RickJ
Sure...but like Brookbank any FA signing will be without fanfare or someone who is a free agent with a week or two to go before camp. |

I still can't wrap my head around the Hawks blowing a 2 goal lead and two 1 goal leads on home ice. The 4 goals against in regulation were on the same play, no less. Get the puck on net with a body driving there - reeder16
This is whining, but I am totally there with you. Let's face it, most years our favorite teams don't make it to the summit in any sport, and most years I can live with it. But this was different. Everything aligned for a dynastic repeat, with the Bruins getting eliminated, etc, etc,...
... I won't be over it until the season starts next year, and for now I can't hardly stand to even watch the SCF. I haven't backread or been paying much attention to what's already been said, but if Kane wants Kesler, the FO should move heaven and earth to make it happen. |

I enjoyed the long single camera shots.....the peaks and valleys of the episode....and the fact the whole episode was dedicated to it....enjoyed the pace very much....the one thing I get annoyed with is the choppiness of the story line sometimes. |

I hope he is. He still has a lot of trade value, I think. Especially if we throw something else in - tomcat24
You would deal Saad in a deal for Kesler?
I don't think I would trade Saad straight up for Kesler.

Vermette. Might be easier and less costly to add a vet or two to the bottom 6 making those lines stronger,
Having a 4 lines that can play is more important than a 2C. Hawks have shown you can win without a true 2C. They need another center who can take some of the hard minutes away from Toews, Wherever he plays. That is what they need. And they need to play better team D. - Elbows15
Agreed...on all of it. Cue the applause. Vermette, if available, makes a lot of sense and likely upgrades the 2C -- or at a minimum down through the roster at C.
I'm also in no hurry to trade away TT until we find out if he can live up to the hype. If he can, surround him with some size and go forth and conquer. Gamebreakers-- just like big, fast, skilled forwards aren't easy to come by. |

He only led the Hawks in scoring, has been with the team for nearly a decade and is certainly a real Hawks fan favorite but fans like you would take Bickell over Sharp every day of the week.
Bickell and his 14 points opposed to Sharp and his 77 points.
It's funny watching Hawks fans believe Bickell is Alex Ovechkin. - Tazer19

If you haven't read the books and they follow it for the finale; think you'll enjoy.
SPOILER ALERT for anyone looking to do a marathon later on.
Ya gotta love that they killed off that little wiener Joffrey in the middle of a season when that could have been the payoff at the end of one. |

Vermette is a really good player. I still remember how tough he was in the phoenix series. He would be cheaper to get than kesler. But for some reason I really want someone a lot younger. Guys born in 89 or later. That can contribute now and for the next decade. That may be a tall order. - tomcat24
He was dangerous in that series. Hated it when he was on the ice. |

Is the topic still Kesler with the Canucks eating half the contract? |
