I think Brandon Saad is on the cusp of being something really special. Still just 21 too...hard to believe.

Front office turmoil shouldn't surprise anyone.

1. Remember who is team president
2. See #1 and then remember when times are good he is out front parading around like a conquering hero. When times are bad, he is shaking his fist down at those who gravely forced injustice on his legion of organizational fans.
3. This is THE summer for this team. So many variables at play. To trade or not to trade? Who to trade? How to pay 88/19? Do you trust YOUR kids? Do you have the right mix of veterans and youngsters?
4. This is the 1st time in the Rocky Wirtz/John McDonough ERA that they truly FAILED to live up to their "one goal" message with a roster that they felt was good enough to win.
5. Positive word of mouth > negative word of mouth. They need a positive BUZZ badly. So if it can't come through UFA, they need to ink 19/88 FAST.

This is going to be fun to watch.

I've got two reds and a winter classic, I've always been reluctant to drop coin on the oh so easily soiled white.
- Ogilthorpe2

Personally, I love the white jerseys.

I never get a "home" jersey now that they are darks. Have always loved the white Blues jersey over the blue ones.

And I would never buy a Blackhawks jersey, but if someone bought me one, I would be tempted to wear it at least around the house if it were a white one.

Oh...I do....I will say that Kruger has a LONG way to go to ever sniff Bolland's jock. Not writing off Kruger, but he needs to score. Faceoffs and PK are nice.....we saw that in Handzus. This team needs depth scoring, and the heir to the Lindros chair needs to score more in the playoffs.

As much as I despise Bolland, come playoff time....he was MONEY.

What would you think if the the Hawks were sniffing around and being real nice to #36's agent this month? (Actually he is #63 now).

New (and big) blog coming around 4 Central: Hawk centers, Kesler, Sharp, Hawk front office civil war brewing.
- John Jaeckel

Just great! You schedule the most important blog of the year for the same time as my yearly haircut. What are the chances?

Ugh....if the money was right, I would consider it.

Just don't know if he would take a deal for 4 million. I cant justify paying him more then that.

I don't like the idea, aesthetically, of having to see #88 running around with "P. Kane" on his back to differentiate him from "E. Kane"...what else you got?
- Ogilthorpe2

#88 would only have Kane on the back. E. Kane would have # ??.

White scares me, but I think I'm ready to take the plunge.
- Ogilthorpe2

The Hawk's white ones are the best jerseys on the planet.

I envision you in a Peter Regin #12.

I agree with you RE: McDonough - he is as unlikeable as they come. Your #5 is laughable, though. The team came within one bounce of making the Final and season ticket renewals are once again above 99% - the bandwagon has never been bigger.

After cup #2, I resolved to begin giving Q the benefit of the doubt. He makes it hard at times, because I still question many of his decisions...including his "good ole boy" assistant coach decisions. I don't like it when people feel the need to surround themselves with "yes men".

I don't see Q replacing either coach, unless this is the reason for the internal Civil War JJ has alluded to.

I'll reserve judgement for another year. No Tick-tock from me this summer, at least not with regard to coaching. Sharp on the other hand....

Just have the new Kane put "E. Kane" on his sweater - the one without the letter would be Patrick.

If you don't think he's all OVER Bowman to get 19/88 done so they can have a presser on 7/1 announcing their futures....think twice.

They need that done ASAP.

I haven't heard one post mortem radio or tv showing talking about how great the season ended. People realize this team should have accomplished more.
