Looks like St. Louis, although we do have to question the sources about no trade lists. |

i question almost everything dreger says lately. he's gone down hill a lot the last couple of years......both in his analysis and ability to be an "insider". i wonder if his relationship with nonis means that some of his sources dont want to talk to him anymore? |
|
|
|
i assume his list is finished off by buffalo and new jersey........that would be my guess |

Wtf would Nonis have to do with anything? Why would you drag his name into this convo, is it just because you're one of those fans that just has to get a dig in at the leafs whenever you can? Dreger has been solid, a bit less than Bobby Mac but still reliable. |

nonis is his cousin. i dont know about you, but if i'm an exec of a hockey team, i'm a little less inclined to give "inside info" to a guy who's related to the GM of a rival team.
the fact that he's a member of the leafs, and trying to get a jab at them has nothing to do with anything.........thanks for coming out though.
several people have been saying that dreger's work has gone down hill the last little while........this isn't something that just came to me. |

With the news about Kane wanting a center, etc. I bet Chicago makes a serious run at a trade. |
|
|
|
I find it very interesting that he doesn't want to play in Canada, and it sort of points to Bryan Murray telling the truth when he said that Spezza was tired of being blamed when the team loses. it almost seems like he wants to run and hide. I've always been a big Spezza fan and I think I'm more disappointed now. |

I would love a deal with chicago.......would be tricky to make the cap hits work though, unless the sens ate some salary for this season.
would love to see a package that would fetch us Saad and maybe hjalmarsson......obviously i realize we'd have to add something else, but probably not TOO much |

3rd cousins...they had the same great, great grandparents. I think you are overplaying their relationship a bit. Some of these insiders are best friends with gm's, so by your theory rival gms should just avoid any insider with a relationship to a gm |

Travis Yost: Spezza's No Trade List - Travis Yost
These not trade lists have got to stop. These guys already have guaranteed contracts. Time for Gm's and the league to take their heads out of their asses and put an end to these clauses. You sign a guaranteed contract you get traded where ever the club sees fit. |

If Chicago trades Saad they should fire the entire front office.
Not a chance he gets moved for Spezza. ZERO
Throw in Hammer and you are asking for the entire Ottawa organization back. Nope Nope Nope.
As a blues fan I owuld love to see Saad gone but it wont happen. |

like i said, more repeating what i've read from some other people. I do feel that dreger's work has gone downhill of late though........or rather, he seems to be less informed on the overall NHL picture (compared to what he used to be) and more informed on the goings on in toronto.
i've seen it speculated that his relationship with nonis has a lot to do with this.....and it seemed like a logical explanation. |

If team A won't give it to him, team B will.
Look at a guy like Andrew Ference. Is he really that special to warrant a NMC |

Murray's preference is to move him West. He will still make a deal East if it is the best deal.
Rangers,Flyers will make a pitch and have already have. |

the reason i mentioned it was that it was being discussed on the chicago board, and a lot of them seemed onboard with it.
and i think you're being a little dramatic about hjalmarsson. he's a good 2nd pairing guy, but it's not like we're talking seabrook or keith here. |

Travis Yost: Spezza's No Trade List - Travis Yost
Him not accepting a trade to Nashville is short sighted in my mind. He would get to play with Mike Fisher, a guy he knows. Also Weber, Jones and Rinne. I could think of worse situations to go to. Plus it's not an intense hockey market. He would be able to live his life again. |

If the avalanche lose stastny and/or O'reilly, I would expect Roy and Sakic to make a push for him

I read there are three untouichables on Chicago outside of Ketih Toews and Kane.
Seabrook Hammer and Saad. |

Or he wants to go to an actual contender and all Canadian teams are not that. That I respect ie wanting to win the Cup. |

I'm pretty sure both of these guys are professional.
I've never even seen a picture of these guys together, they could be the farthest thing from close. |

I agree. NMC clauses should be for players 35 and over. They are the stupidest things ever. Name 1 team that has benefited from these things? If you don't like moving every couple of years, find a new career. |
