Jeez this blog went through the rafters since yesterday.

Chiming in on the Spezza deal now isn't really needed much other then I think Chiasson will prove his worth here to ease the blow being the type of player Ottawa needed. This kid sees the ice really well. He plays like Landeskog does.

With this so called Chi rumor, I was wondering when that monster would resurface it self. How ever the parts that are rumored incl on Ottawa's side I hope Lazar is not the prospect involved but at the same time who knows what this kid can really do, and we are chalk full of young talent.

Is that to say let him go not entirely the case but in Sharp you have a proven big game player who you can garuntee will put up points and has speed to create havoc on the rush. With Leddy you have another young Def on the bubble of either a top 3 or bottom 3 def depending on how the next few seasons play out for him. To me that is the xfactor since he has the potential still to become that top guy to run our second line pair to ease the pressure on Karlsson.

Final thought on it could you imagine a healthy Ryan with Mac/Turris, and then Sharp with Zibby/Chiasson or how ever they push those lines around. That would give Ott 2 solid offensive lines that could do damage to teams. Not to mention if we find a way to off load some of the def in that jam the top 4 def would be Karlsson/Methot and (Hopefully rebounded) Cowen/Leddy. That is a pretty solid top 4 def anywhere in the league.

Edit.. edit... edit.. it seems. Anyways rumor I still hear is Sens still after Berglund from Stl from another Sens site.

Interesting. Berglund is probably available since we just signed 2 centers. He is likely going to pay lw this year a lot if he stays.
