He was great for one playoff run in MTL.
He was good for a few seasons in STL, had some pretty impressive numbers.
In WSH he was ok... but not great. He said something to the effect of the sheer number of trades he was in near the deadline shook him a bit.
Goalies are fragile beings at times...
But yes... MTL made the right choice getting Eller for him. - mlindsay
Goalies are definitely fragile. But in general, there has to be some sort of mental difference, because who really thinks it's a great idea to have a frozen piece of rubber shot at them repeatedly at 80+ miles an hour? |

Miller started off great in St. Louis. Winning his first 7 out of 8.
Then he, along with the entire team went San Jose style collapse to end the regular season.
Miller actually faired better against the Hawks than Quick did, he just didn't get the goal support - sbroads24
I don't know.
I think if he played to his prior performance levels in Buffalo when in STL then he would have at least had some contract negotiations in STL... and likely would have been more sought after in free agency.
I will agree with you that he got little to no support from the offense in STL |

I think they realized that someone like Stastny was better suited to get the money they had available.
Also with them being knocked out in the 1st, that 1st they would have had to give us would have been higher than they wanted |

It was mentioned yesterday that him and the goalie coach there didn't agree on how he should play. They were trying to get him to play back more in the net. He didn't agree with it. |

True... that was a great signing... who do they have in between the pipes now though... Elliot and a rookie right? |

Okay, as someone who doesn't want to the see the Sabres lay down for a lottery pick, let me ask you this: for all the supposed "leadership" that Ott brings, why is it that his teams throughout his career are either terrible or fall short (see Dallas and St. Louis)? - buffalofan19
I understand maybe the single reason of 'we deserve a better value for our season tickets', but I have yet to understand how a guy like McEichel won't provide value for the next 20 years. The only thing I agree with is that after next season is over, I would hope they start to compete for the playoffs. |

He's probably hoping to get traded to LA. It worked for them. They've won the Cup twice now. |

So does it make Giroux a queer and how much sh1t (Pun) will he be taking next season!?!? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Like the list (maybe not the order but w.e) except one bit.
Why Karlsson over Doughty? I like Karlsson but you ask 30 GMs and all of them tell you Doughty over Karlsson, they're the same age too aren't they? |

If I was building a team, I want scoring
Karlsson is the best scoring d man since Coffey in his prime IMO |

My guess is he won't. Someone is going to kick the poop out of him if he does. |
