IMO we still won't score enough to get out of the bottom 5. Who in our conference will we be better than? I hate to say it but Ott and TO should still be better than us, Winnipeg maybe? Other than that I just dont see it. We will be better to watch, we won't look like an Jr team anymore but I just don't see where the goals come from unless 3 or 4 guys have the best year of their career.

I think it might be fair to say that our defense is currently more "NHL ready" than it was a yr ago as well.



-Georges & Mezzaros in (Ehrhoff out) gives us more seasoned vets on the back end.

-Myers & Pysyk each got another yr of growth and are legit NHL d-men.

-McCabe & Webber both got a bit more of a taste last season as well (more mins than theyd have gotten elsewhere) and should round out our bottom pair.

-Risto & Zadorov are on the bubble percolating. These are big kids with size & hunger who will likely make a guest appearance at some point this season.

Yes. Reinhart is now our property. It is now in the organizations best interest to make him the best he can be. If that is him being here helping this team, so be it.

McDavid is not our property and may never be, even if we do finish last.


Add - Reinhart is said to be NHL ready while Armia is not. You would be killing the development of 2 prospects for a chance to get one. Having the best doesn't mean you win, see Crosby, Sidney.

Teddy Nolan was blown away regarding how out of shape this club was (when he came aboard), but that's all going to change significantly this time around.

I think we were underachieving with the talent we had. I expect to see a better & more consistent effort, night in & night out.
