I think there is a deal to be made with edmonton and maybe multiple versions of a deal that are beneficial to both teams.

A team that has a player making 8+ million/yr is not interested in rebuilding. They are not going to waste G's prime years tearing out key pieces like Coburn and Simmonds for younger, not as proven players.
